Review: I brought my car to the shop to repair damages to my 2007 [redacted]. The repairs were to my hood bumper and windshield. The owner offered to fix my driver door at no charge to obtain my business. The owner told me the repairs would take 5-7 business days. On the 7th day I was told the car wasn't ready and was given one reason after another. After more than 2 weeks I was told the car was ready. On delivery it was clearly evident by bubbles and swirl lines on the hood and front right side above tire that something had a occurred and I refuse to accept. The owner agreed that the paint job was not his best and asked for 1 more day. I returned the next day only to discover the paint job wasn't much better. I was very upset and told owner I would take car because I had already returned but would be bringing car back. The owner said he would be happy to buff car out again. Over the weekend I took the car to another shop and was told that the bubbles on hood and scratches could not be buffed out. Additionally I noticed white paint over the right tire area which appeared to be from another vehicle being sprayed too close to my vehicle. I contacted the owner [redacted] and explained I would like a refund so I could take my car to another shop to fix the damage that his shop had done or I would his insurance carrier information. [redacted] said that what I was asking didn't make sense and that I need to give him a chance to fix. After losing all credibility I did not agree to bring back. When I didn't agree to return [redacted] hung up the phone on me. After thinking about the owner request I reluctantly agreed to bring back the car. [redacted] offered to pay for rental and said he would get back to me the next day to determine a time to drop off my car. When I didn't hear from [redacted] 2 days later I called [redacted] and asked if he still would honor his offer to fix the paint which he agreed an. The day before I was to bring in the car [redacted] retracted offer to cover rental car. This has been a horrible experience.Desired Settlement: I would like to be compensated for the cost of reprinting hood and right fender so I can take my vehicle somewhere else.

Review: I dropped off my car with [redacted] from Cueva Collision on the afternoon of May 31, 2015 for what I was told would be about 4 days. That turned out to be 8 days and on June 8th upon picking up my car [redacted] showed me the corner of the bumper he said still needed to be pushed in to make it more flush under the taillight, which he stated would take about 4 hours. Even though I wondered why after 8 days this still was not done, I agreed with him, thinking 4 more hours would not hurt to get my car right and I paid my bill. I then dropped off my car on June 30th with [redacted] providing me with a rental car so that he could make things right and get my car looking as close to new as possible. By July 2nd, I had not heard from [redacted] so I texted him to find out the status and was told he planned on having my car completed the next day. The next afternoon [redacted] texted he needed until the following Tuesday to get my car looking new again. Tuesday promptly turned into Friday. On July 10th, I was dropped off at Cueva Collision around 4:30pm, as discussed with [redacted], and my car still was not done. I waited for over an hour and when my car was finally driven around to me, [redacted] remained inside his office while I quickly looked over my car and he did not come out to show what work he had performed for the last 10 days. As I was then already running late for my 6:15pm appointment, I left. Cueva Collision had my car for a total of 18 days and the bumper is still not flush. There is white substance on both driver-side doors as well as in the the creases and inside the gas cap area; this substance will not wash off. In short, my car looks worse than it did when I picked it up from Cueva Collision the first time. Between the bumper still not flush, additional damage to the paint and overall appearance of my car, having completetion dates consistently pushed back and having to be the one to contact [redacted] on the status of my car, Cueva Collision is NOT the place to go.Desired Settlement: My desired resolution is to have Cueva Collision not only refund the money I paid for my bumper but to also pay for the additional damage done to my car. I have a quote from [redacted] which amounts to approximately $2600 (includes repair of bumper).

Simple scratch on my car door and trunk, [redacted] told me it would only take 2-3 days. I said ok, since the collision center my insurance recommended would take 5 days. It was a Monday. He did the initial inspection and did see a light scratch on the front door. He said he will buff it and see it will come off. I gave him the insurance estimate and check. That afternoon, he called and said he "buffed" it and it did not come off so he needed to send a supplemental. I offered to help him out and I'd call my insurance and maybe we can schedule it right away. He said no, he can do it. I said fine.
Tuesday went by. No call.
The inspection by the adjustor was done 2 days later (Wednesday). He was given an additional amount, almost $300, on top of the $500+ check I gave him form the insurance.
I am monitoring everything via my insurance website and app.
So the rest of Wednesday went by, no call.
Then Thursday morning came and still no call from this guy, so I called him and he said he will start working on my car that day since insurance gave him a go yesterday. He said he will repaint both doors and the side of the trunk...keeps saying "I will make it right for you". promised and said "I am looking at Friday this week and you can have your car back". So I asked "Tomorrow?" And he seemed taken aback, probably not realizing that it was Thursday when he said "Friday this week". He said "Yes, tomorrow".
Friday came and I was happy I will have my car finally. But the whole day went by and nothing from this guy. Finally, when 4pm came, and I was about ready to call him again, he called. He said he is not done with the painting. I was irritated, because he does not seem to know how to use the phone and call me ahead of time and not even sincerely apologetic about it. And all he can say it "Well, I already told you I can't do it. I also have other jobs that needed to be done. I am looking at Monday." I pressed on and asked what he has done so far, and I finally got him to admit that HE HAS NOT DONE ANYTHING AT ALL. I told him that painted or not, I am getting my car on Monday.
Monday came. NO CALL. So my wife, sensing I am really pissed, went with me at almost 5pm to the shop and decided she do the talking. The car came. THE SIDE OF THE BUMPER WHERE HE PAINTED THE DOORS AND TRUNK TURNED YELLOW. AND HE HAS THE GALL TO SAY IT WAS NOT THEM AND THE BUMPER PROBABLY WAS PAINTED IN THE PAST. On one side?!?! He then backtracked immediately and said "I want to make it right, EVEN IF IT IS NOT OUR FAULT, and will repaint it that side of the bumper". What a character. What this guy probably does not know is that our insurance posted all picture the adjuster took in their website for the customers to see. [redacted], THERE WAS NO YELLOW BUMPER ANYWHERE IN THE 21 PICTURES THEY HAVE. YOU OFFERED "TO MAKE IT RIGHT" BECAUSE YOU KNOW THAT YOU OVER-BAKED THE SIDE WHERE YOU PAINTED. So to make it right, he said he will have to take the car in and give it the following day. Wow.
Tuesday came, NO CALL. We went over to get it again at a little past 5pm. Nice, the yellow part of the bumper was white again. But hold on, what is that freaking gnarly thing on top of the bumper. Yep, it was a part where they overpainted it and then stripped off the tape. I did not even say anything anymore. I was ready to take it home but my wife said he has to fix it. And then there goes the famous line "I will make it right for you." And then kept the car for another night and we can come back around noon. My wife said no, she will be busy and I am at work. He offered to drive it to our house which my wife agreed. I was hesitant but we have some people over so I said fine.
Wednesday came. He called my wife and said the car is ready, he will drive the car to our house, BUT CAN MY WIFE GIVE HIM A RIDE BACK TO THE SHOP? My wife called me to ask and I said [redacted]. Good thing he called again and said he found a ride.
Two days later, I saw one of my friends and he looked over the paint job. Guess what, HE POINTED OUT A SCRATCH ON THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR, THE SAME PAINT SCRATCH [redacted] POINTED OUT AND MADE A SUPPLEMENTAL TO GET MORE MONEY. HE NEVER REALLY WORKED ON IT. (See pictures)
I reported it to my insurance. Hopefully, they get the money back.
First off, Mr. [redacted] Cuevas, YOU ARE THE ONE WHO GAVE THE TIME FRAME, NOT ME.
Second, I don't give a [redacted] about your other job, if you can not fulfill what you promise, then do not give a short time period to reel in customers.
Third, use your phone to communicate with your customer, and be sincere about it. You were only nice and accommodating in the beginning, but changes color in the end.
Fourth, not all of your customers are ignorant about everything.
Fifth, do and finish the whole job.
And lastly, since you have the money NOW, maybe you can buy the printer ink cartridges so you can give a copy of everything when customer asks for one.
TOTAL REPAIR DAYS FOR SCRATCHES: 10
