Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Regards, [redacted] Hello Revdex.comfirst off id like to thank you for ur supportI returned a phone call to [redacted] from Mitsubishi [redacted] He was saying again they would send replacement part to nearby dealer for replacementAnd he is going to charge me $to replace this chip plus another $dollars to drive to me so thats $dollarsI told him in my enclosed paperwork it stated the replacement part would be sent to customer ( me ) for freeI have highlighted those statementsAfter asking [redacted] I would like them sent to me he clams he dosent know anything about that statement and will not honor itBut yet all the other things we talked about were just the same as what im enclosingHe said he would not sent me the part cause ( check this out ) I might just sell it on ebay or that I might just tear the tv up trying to replace itNow im starting to get alittle up setIt clearly show this company that wrote the information I enclose is a authorized service dealer for Mitsubishi, but yet [redacted] dosent know anything about who wrote itcould u please send him copies of what I sent to uHe sayed I can not fix it myself it had to been done by authorized personThats also not true because I highlighted that part alsoPlease help as u can see these where statement made by a authorized service dealer of Mitsubishi that he know nothing about ( right ) Thank you Revdex.comthis is bad business [redacted]

We apologize for the trouble the customer is having with her Mitsubishi television Just to clarify this customer purchased her unit in October from a rent-a-center dealership Based on the age of the television and we show no other previous service repairs problems on this unit, we have made a fair offer to the customer.Best Regards,Warranty Service Advisor

The customer has had this set for years without a reported failure and is now requesting a warranty repair. The customer stated that there was a class action suit for this issue but that is not true. Mitsubishi cannot provide warranty support for a product that is years old. We apologize that we cannot do more

We have worked directly with the customer to resolve and the television is now repaired

This case has been closed to the satisfaction of the customer

We contacted this customer and negotiated a resolution based on her being a multi-purchase customer

We offered a free of charge part to the customer. This part requires a service technician to replace and we can not send it to the customer, only to a servicer. We confirmed to the customer that the offer will remain open. We are not charging the customer for labor, the labor would be charged by the servicer.

You want to talk about moral obligation?? How about you not sell people televisions with defective pieces? I don't recall ever being contacted by Mitsubishi concerning my faulty part. You could at least send me the part at no charge and I could pay to have someone install it. You know this part is faulty and you may have known it was faulty at the time I bought your TV and should at the least replace that.

And he is going to charge me $200.00 to replace this chip plus another $100.00 dollars to drive to me so thats  $300.00 dollars. I told him in my enclosed paperwork it stated the replacement part would be sent to customer ( me ) for free. I have highlighted those false statements. This customers TV is 9 years old and is beyond any moral or legal requirements for monetary support from Mitsubishi.  We apologize that we cannot do more.

We have left 5 messages for this customer without response. Our offer of a free of charge part for his 6 year old television is still open. We will continue to support this customer if he returns our calls.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.This DLP chip is a defective part, and has nothing to do with a warranty on a tv. Mitsubishi should have recalled said TV's, knowing these parts are faulty. I have replaced the lamps every 4 years or so, and for that I don't have a problem; but no one would buy a TV, if they knew that white dots will spread all over their screen eventually. That is not normal. Mitsubishi should pay for the labor and DLP chip.
