Cultura Med Spa Reviews (1)

Review: On Wednesday, March 13, 2013 [redacted] and I met at the Cultura office to discuss how to amicably resolve the eye and skin injury that had incurred from one of his employees in 2012. The employee had failed to inform her superiors, and I brought the medical documentation and pictures as requested. In the me[redacted] apologized and said, "how dare we treat you that way"..."you have been a long time and faithful consumer of Cultura, and we apologize for the treatment that you received". [redacted] told me that new policies were definitely in place to prevent the behavior and treatment that I had received from happening again. [redacted] also stated that, because of the unique relationship that his cousin and employee, [redacted] has with me that he would give [redacted] carte blanch "to do whatever was necessary to make amends" for the chemical burns that I had received on my eye and my skin from the chemical peel at Cultura. I believed [redacted], and thought that he was a man of his word. I truly thought that [redacted] valued my loyalty as a consumer, and that I had been with Cultura for years, even when the business' clientele had suffered from an overturn of employees. He told me that he would talk with [redacted]) to make sure that everything was situated. Once again, just as in December, I had to be the one to follow up. When I spoke with [redacted] in December of 2012, he told me that he and his business manager would be following up with me. However, neither he nor his business manager reached out to me until I called to schedule a meeting with [redacted] in March of this year. I feel stupid at this point because I cared more about the employee that burned my face and my eye, and the work that [redacted] had put into Cultura more than I cared about myself or the pain I endured because I suffered in silence. I thought that would matter to [redacted], and in March 2013 it seemed to have mattered. However, today I realized just how I do not matter to Cultura nor to [redacted]. The agreement that had been negotiated between Cultura and myself last week was that Cultura would provide 4 complimentary laser treatments, a refund of the chemical peel that had caused injury to my eye and skin, and 25% off of all future services. The services were to be performed by [redacted], and I was glad to finally have some closure to this situation. It was taking way too much of my energy. The first of my series of 4 laser treatments is scheduled for this Saturday, April 13th, 2013. This appointment was scheduled at least two months ago with [redacted] as my practitioner. Today, the business manager calls on [redacted]'s behalf to make changes to the settled agreement we had made and he had approved last week. I was really disappointed and hurt at the way [redacted] spoke to me today by telling me, "this is my practice not yours. You do not own this business. I do." He said that who treated my skin was not my decision to make no matter how I felt about it. [redacted] had contradicted everything that he said to me, and promised, and agreed. I believe [redacted]'s intent was to discourage me and frustrate me so that he would not have to honor his agreement and it seems very specious and highly unprofessional as a business owner to speak to a customer the way he did today. It seemed highly specious that [redacted] would make such major changes 24 hours before the scheduled procedure was to take place - especially when [redacted] has been my trusted practitioner for years. However, [redacted] gruffly expressed to me today that "[redacted] is an employee here. Yes, she is my cousin, but she does not make decisions around here." [redacted] seemed resentful that he had made the agreement to honor the 4 complimentary laser treatments, and made light of my injury in his statement to me today concerning that the injury was not so serious because it was only my eye. I thought [redacted] to be an honorable man that values his consumers - especially since I have been a consumer of Cultura's for approximately five years. I can see from [redacted]'s statements and treatment of me today, that I do not matter.Desired Settlement: To honor the original agreement, as set forth.
