The contractor who we bought our house from will not honor his own contract regarding the 1 year warranty on our house for repairs. We purchased a new home build from Norris Builders and closed on the house on November 26, 2014. As per their 1 year warranty, they will fix anything that is wrong with the house prior to the 1 year anniversary of the sale of the home, which would be November 26, 2015. In October 2015, we hired a home inspector to examine the house and see if there is anything that needed to be addressed. There were also a few other repairs that were needed, for example, cracked grouting in the kitchen, etc. Our home inspector gave us a report of his findings a few days later. On October 20, 2015, I contacted Norris Builders about the repairs that are needed to our house and what the home inspector found. A few days later, [redacted] Norris came to our house to look over the things that needed repaired and I also gave him a copy of our home inspection report. [redacted] was able to send one of his workers to fix a few things but said he needed to wait till it was warmer outside to fix the others as those were outside repairs. He told me that he would finish fixing the inside repairs all at once when they worked on the outside repairs. Several months have gone by and I haven't heard anything from anybody regarding some of our repairs. So I repeatedly contacted Norris Builders through email about it. On May 3, I received a reply from [redacted] Norris who also runs Norris Builders and he stated very angrily that he would not honor the 1 year warranty contract because "it was past the 1 year mark." I emailed Matt [redacted] back and told him that the company had our list of repairs since October 20, 2015, well before the 1 year anniversary was up and that his company was waiting for the weather to get warmer to finish the repairs. At this point, the company refused to follow up on their contract. I have all documentation stating my position. I have my home inspection report and all correspondences between me and Norris Builders beginning October 20, 2015, when I first contacted them.Desired SettlementTo honor their own contract by fixing all the repairs that are needed and were given to them on October 20, 2015.If they do not want to do this, then can compensate me for the work that needs to be done and I can hire someone else to finish the job.Tonight, [redacted] Norris threw 3 eggs at our house. I would like for [redacted] Norris not to throw eggs at our house in retaliation for wanting them to honor their contract.Consumer called to say he had worked things out with business.
