Review: I was paying my Va.net account by the year as I have for the past 3 - 4 years and recently my wife and I decided it would be a better deal to get broadband through [redacted], so we did around the 5th of June. I cancelled my service with Va.net the same day and was informed that I would be getting a refund based on a monthly setup, not yearly, it would have to be approved and then I won't see a refund until August. When I informed them it takes 5 minutes for them to push a button to get their payment, they informed me the refund had to be approved by the owner and I had no choice but to wait. The young lady I was speaking with said she would talk to the owner and I said to go ahead I would talk to the SCC and the Revdex.com she told me there was no need to talk to the owner then I could just wait until August to get my money.Desired Settlement: It takes 5 seconds for someone to take my money out of my account, I would like for that same someone to settle my account on a year pay status like I paid for, not monthly and refund my money.

REMOVE PERSONAL EMAILS AT ONCE - [redacted] and [redacted] - You were never given them and have no right to use them - I have requested this previously!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You must use the email address of [redacted] to reach someone who can respond.

Effective January 1,2013 [redacted]. changed to a no refund policy. We offer several different payment options and the more you pay the more you save. In Virginia our monthly rate is $15.00, 3 months is $39.00, 6 months is $69.99 and yearly is $119.40. If someone calls to cancel we set their account to close at the end of their paid period. When you signup for any of the prepaid plans you are committing to that entire service period. If someone wants to upgrade to DSL with [redacted] we apply any of their prepaid dialup to their DSL account. According to the refund policy [redacted] is not entitled to a refund.

However, the billing person did tell him it would be refunded according to the way the refunds used to be done prior to January 1, 2013, which is the account reverts back to a monthly rate and any over payment is refunded at the time it closes. Refunds are done the first weekend of the month.

[redacted]'s account is still open it will not close until July 3rd. His refund is not due to be done until August 3rd. Due to his harassing the billing office the refund was moved up to be done by July 6th.
