Review: I was approached by Cumulus Media/WLEV Radio to do a promotion for "Cupcake Break" listeners sign up on their website to enter to win free cupcakes for their office. I explained I didnt have a storefront and it was difficult to provide cupcakes on the dates they wanted. I needed to pay $1,200 plus deliver 24 cupcakes to their office 3 times a week, for 8 weeks. I paid $600 up front. Agreed to pay the rest of the $600 in another 4 weeks. I signed a contract for radio broadcast advertisement, SOCIAL MEDIA COVERAGE, and a webpage dedicated to the contest. My complaint is in 6 weeks they posted the promotion on [redacted] twice (completely unacceptable) as contract indicated constant media coverage. I never knew who the winners were, when I asked they werent able to tell me. I had to ask why my business name was not mentioned every time they broadcasted the contest. ( I paid to have my name out there) not the name of their promotion which was "cupcake break" I have emails between their account executive and me where Im questioning the issues. I sent them a letter questioning everything because they started the same promotion with someone else and they were doing exactly what they should have done with me to begin with. I was also lied to about other's success with the promotion which is completely untrue. I also got feedback about others being told that I had HUGE success with the promotion (Completely untrue and unacceptable) that they use my name to make themselves look good, without proper documentation to prove such success. I dont appreciate them using my name to lure others into falling for this scam. I demanded a refund, its been over 10 days and I havent heard from them. They called me a liar when we spoke on the phone even though I have emails questioning their faults. I was lucky enough to end this contract early and not pay the full $1200 because I knew I was getting scammed. I did however paid 6 weeks $600 for not even a fraction of what I was promised in the contract. I demand a full refund.Desired Settlement: I demand a full refund. Not only was I ripped off, but I was also called a liar regarding my complaints. I have proof that I questioned everything written on this complaint, and yet it wasnt resolved. I tried to contact them and resolve this in a proper friendly manner and instead I was ignored.
