Curb Addressing Service

Fallbrook California curb addressing service is horrific. They painted my curb without permission, then demanded $10.00. I refused to pay, or be bullied into paying. So they came out, and painted over it, and blurred the address, so it was illegible. Now it’s very faded, as all my neighbors as well. I now painted over it my self. It’s better than anything they do.

Review: This company is paints your address on your curb without your permission, then ask's for a donation. Last time I refused, so the next time they came around they painted completely over the address numbers they painted last time and left me with no address at all. I live in an unicorporated area of LA county, LA County requires a permit for this service to be done, but does not issue ANY permits for this service. So this company is doing business in LA County illegally and I'm sure other city/counties also.Desired Settlement: I would like my house numbers repainted on my curb. I would also like that this company quit doing this type of business in my area.

This company repeatedly shows up in our neighborhood annually and paints street numbers on the curbs without any permission from the home owners, then they expect/demand a $15.00 cash payment. They make this sound like a mandated community service. Their trucks are completely unmarked, so are their staff. .How can I believe they report any of this income. I'm concerned they take advantage of the elderly or new home owners with little understanding of their totally useless purpose. Why are services like this allowed to continue to operate freely?

Review: on Christmas eve 12/24/13 I representative from Curb Addressing Service knocked on my door at about noon. he stated he had just painted my curb with the address of my property. he stated I was to pay $40.00, $20.00 for each address. I have 2 address on my property. I informed him its Christmas eve and I had no money, he insisted on the $40.00, I gave him $5.00 and apologized for the remaining balance. he then stated I HAD to mail in the remaining amount. I told him that was not going to be possible due to I have no money. he stated he was going to leave a bill on my door and the amount needed to be paid. I told him "as I said I have no money so get off my [redacted] property" he said "** im gonna leave the bill on the door.

about 10 minutes later I walked out to the front of my house and noticed he was painting my neighbors curb, I noticed his vehicle parked directly in front of mine so I took a picture of his vehicle's license plates and walked back inside my house.

about an hour passed I went out side again and noticed my curb was painted BLACK and the painter was gone.

in short this man was extremely rude, and I paid him $5.00 and all I got was vandalism.Desired Settlement: Refund of the $5.00 and repaint the curb.
