Review: 10-4-15Hello,I realize that my efforts to explain my concerns and expectations have not been clear when Ive tried to do so by email. I apologize for any confusion my written efforts have caused. I am trying again- see below.I have tried to coordinate a time to meet with you as requested, but havent heard back from you. I agree that we need to meet in person to see what we are talking about. I would like to do that as soon as possible. As you know, our original plan was to have curbing installed around most of the house, but not everywhere. It was to be installed (as you face the house) along the front planting bed to the right of the garage, the left side of the house, and the right rear corner of the house (areas where the builder had placed some wood chips, but installed no fabric or curbing). When [redacted] came to spray the curbing outline, I agreed that we should install it around the entire house. So, to the original curbing order we added the left rear corner and right side of the house. Just before he left, I had to remind [redacted] to spray the outline around the front tree as we had previously discussed.Neither the curbing, nor the plantings have ever been a concern. However, the curbing was not completed. The second coat of sealer planned for the following Monday or Tuesday (as written on the invoice), was never applied.The original agreement for the landscape fabric was that landscape fabric would be used in the front planting bed to the right of the garage. In the same meeting when [redacted] came to spray the curbing outline, we agreed to have landscape fabric added to where we had agreed to extend the curbing (the left rear corner and right side of the house and the front tree). Landscape fabric was never to be added to the left side or right rear or left rear of the house. My concern about the fabric installation is that there are large gaps where ground is not covered, allowing growth to easily break through. Also, the fabric is not butted up to the curbing as it should be, so weeds can grow through there. Also, fabric extends beneath the curbing onto the lawn. Also, the front tree curbing has NO LANDSCAPE FABRIC at all. All of this should be easy to fix.Finally, we know that I was not consulted before a much color was chosen, and the wrong color was installed. Excess mulch of this same color was installed in the back areas of the house, where there is no landscape fabric. Although this was described as a favor to me, it was not a favor because it has to be removed in order to prepare those areas properly when we can afford to get them completed with landscape fabric and mulch. Mulch was to be installed only in the front planting bed area and those areas where we added curbing and fabric (the left rear corner, right side of the house, and the tree) to the original plan. I would like all of the wrong-colored mulch removed and the areas we agreed on to be re-mulched with the chocolate color I prefer. Of course, landscape fabric must first be placed around the front tree, too.Please make arrangements to meet with me as soon as possible so we can get this project completed.
