Once again I would like to apologize for the miss understanding between myself and the customer. I sent a estimate for a gas hook up and...

installation on venting for a boiler, how ever at the time my estimate was made I did not realize the the power vent to be installed was to be hooked up directly to 110 power supply.I am a journeyman plumber and Gas fitter there for I do not have the required ticket or education to be dealing with electrical wiring. Upon realizing this detail I immediately told the home owner about the issue and suggested a local electrician to use. I knew they did good work for fair pricing. I then asked the home owner if he would like me to set him up with the contact information for the electrician so they could arrange a time for him to come in and hook up the required wiring. At no point did I state that I would be covering the cost of the electrician. The home owner seemed happy when I left. A couple days later I received a call from the electrician stating that the home owner had said that my company was to be covering all cost. At that point I then called the home owner to explain that this was not what we agreed upon, and that even though it was unfortunate that this was not a for seen cost. It still would not have been included in my estimate even if we were aware because I am not an electrician and would not be able to complete that part of the job. Also I would like to say that on all of my quotes I have in writing that clearly states as fallows "This is an estimate only, not a contract. This estimate is for completing the job described above, based on our evaluation. It does not include unforeseen price increases or additional labour and materials which may be required should problems arise". I feel terrible that the home owner was so upset with their experience with us and I am very sorry this had to even come to the point of complaint but we did everything in our power to make things better with the home owner, aside from paying for the electrician.
