ON 4/11 [redacted] GAVE ME AND MY SON A QUOTE ON A 2009 HONDA CRV CAR IN THE AMOUNT OF $23,000.00 NEXT DAY IT WAS $26,500.00THEY DONOT TELL THE TRUTH.Desired SettlementNEED 2009 HONDA CRV AS SHOWN AND QUOTED.SAME PRICE.Business' Initial Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXX XXX XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@currycars.com[redacted] cannot understand the numbers presented. The 2009 CRV is on sale for XXXXX.00. Unfortunately the trade that [redacted] had was worth $8691 less than she owed the bank. In order for her to purchase a new vehicle and pay off the bank the two numbers must be added together. [redacted] did not understand this. However, she was here with her son [redacted] who fully understood the details. If [redacted] could dispose of her vehicle and have a clean title, she would indeed be able to purchase the CRV for the advertised price. There was no change in the selling price of the vehicle listed on the internet and presented to [redacted]. She simply did not understand that she had to pay her old vehicle off either by herself or adding it to a new loan.Consumer's Final Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)[redacted] OFFERED ME 17,0000 FOR MY TRADE IN ON MY 2007 ACADIA BECAUSE IT LOOKED SO GOOD NOT 14,000 YOU TOLD ME WHEN YOU CALLED. NO ONLY DID THEY NOT TELL THE TRUTH WHEN MY SON AND I CAME IN THEY ARE NO STILL NOT TELLING THE TRUTH NOW. IT SHOULD BE CONSEQUINCES FOR GIVING WRONG INFORMATION.Business' Final Response I have already explained this once. There was no change in price. The inequity of the trade was added to the selling price. I don't know or understand why [redacted] does not understand this. The only "generality" was explaining the concept of being "upside" down in a trade in which the salesperson did not use actual numbers, just giving an explanation of what that means. There is nothing further I can do for the customer.
