Review: This body was purchased by [redacted] (PA) made by Curry Supply Co. and we purchased from [redacted] (VT) who purchased it from Youngstown. The body was made with 4 leaf springs on the left side of the body and 5 leaf springs on the right side of the body. The left side of the body is designed to house a welder, which we did. However, when adding the welder to the left side, it made the truck sit askew and handled improperly as well. The weight was not distributed evenly.Contacted all three parties involved including PACCAR and no one seems to be able to correct the situation. As the manufacturer of this body, it shows poor craftsmanship of the body design.Desired Settlement: We would like to be reimbursed for the cost of the part we purchased from Penn Public Truck Equipment in the amount of $313.04 as well as two hours labor to repair the truck at $90/hr or $180 total, for a grand total of $493.04.

As an [redacted] Certified manufacturer, Curry Supply takes great pride in our manufacturing process and
quality control. Every product that is produced by Curry Supply is engineered to quality specifications,
inspected, and tested prior to shipment to the purchasing customer. Mechanics trucks are designed to
have an additional leaf spring on the right side of the body to accommodate the additional weight of the
crane which is on the right side of the truck. This additional leaf spring ensures that the truck is
appropriately level and within specification when shipped to the end user. Any additional loads that a
user puts on the mechanics truck will, naturally, apply weight to the truck. It is the user’s responsibility
to ensure that any additional weight is evenly distributed. If the user-added weight is not evenly
distributed, the user should take appropriate measures to either counter-balance the weight or add
additional support to that side of the truck. This is not a craftsmanship issue. The user simply needs to
counterbalance the truck due to their having added weight to one side.
