Dear Revdex.com,
We agree to disagree

General Manager - Curtis Trailers

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meProvided settlement is followed through by the business.Sincerely, *** *** ***

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response
because:
I never agreed to retract the complaint and Curtis has done nothing to show me that their own negligence caused the issuesIn fact, the trailer had been dropped off with them to conduct semi-annual maintenance, which includes inspecting seals, replacing caulking where needed, etcso if a faulty seal was in fact the issue, they should have detected that during the inspection we paid them to do the week prior.
My my entire experience with their service department and general manager has been horridI'm on my way to pick up my trailer now before they can cause any further damage
Sincerely,*** ***

Dear Revdex.com, We understand and emphasize with Mr. [redacted] complaint. However, we believe he does not understand the severity of his camper. Enclosed are photo’s of his camper when he checked in and dropped off for service. You can clearly see the magnitude of water damage throughout his camper by...

noticing the fiberglass bulges that are no longer adhered to the framing of the camper. To move a camper when it’s not a truck we have special dolly we place under the floor which supports the weight of the camper when we move it. It’s also the same dolly we use on our own Truck Camper inventory. Once we move the camper and set it into position we place it on the jacks. When this happens there is always movement in the jacks as they distribute the weight of the camper. That’s when the rear driver’s side jack separated from the sidewall. Usually, when something like this happens the jack is dragged on the ground or bumped into something which in this case did not happen. We acknowledge the jack separation happened while in our possession and if we caused it we would repair it at our expense. However, this is far from a normal situation. When we removed the jack for repair our technician quickly determine that the camper has very severe pre-existing dry rot. It’s so bad that we believe it’s been mere luck the camper still stands. The reason for the jack separation was the fact that there was nothing left of the wood supporting the jack and given the magnitude of the photos we are confident that the other jack supports are just as bad. (See Pictures) Therefore, in order to repair the camper it would require a complete rebuild of the frame structure. This cost is far greater than what the camper is worth. Again, we emphasize with the customer however the pre-existing dry rot is so bad that we do not recommend this camper for consumer use. In addition, we’re not sure how the customer came up with a $3000.00 value, and how in good faith the customer could sell it to someone else in this condition. Unfortunately, we determine the camper value only as parted out. One of our Vendors who purchases product in this type of condition offered $300.00 which Mr. [redacted] had accepted previously. As good gesture, Curtis Trailers will forfeit the bill in the amount of $455.40 for work done, and add an additional $200.00 to the vendor offer for the inconvenience. We apologize for this unintentional situation, and unfortunately because of its pre-existing condition the camper is way beyond repair. Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Sincerely, [redacted]

Dear Revdex.com,

Sorry for my delayed response. I have been out of town on Vacation. Whether interior or exterior water leaks are very frustrating and we emphasize when they occur. Unfortunately, they haven't made the perfect trailer yet and all RV's are still man made. Therefore, the potential...

for water leaks will always exist. As a dealer we try and do our best to find them and/or try to recreate the problem (by using a sprinkler on the roof) but sometimes the void in sealant can be so small that it takes time for the water leak to be found. Needless to say, please keep in mind that they still can be repaired as long as the leak doesn't go unattended for a long period of time.
It my understanding that [redacted] lives in her trailer. Therefore, I understand the inconvenience and emphasize with [redacted] when something goes wrong. However, since it was the second leak I thought it would be good gesture for us to pick up her trailer, repair and then return it for her which we have done. I believe [redacted] complaint has been rectified and I know Jason J[redacted] our Service Advisor has been keeping in touch with her.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Todd T[redacted]
General Manager - Curtis Trailers

The customer and Curtis Trailers have come up with an amicable solution. We are in the middle of this solution, however we feel the complaint has been resolved.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because they deny any wrongdoing. Sincerely,[redacted]

On March 21st, 2016 our General Manager at the West location spoke to the customer and it was determined the water leak derived from something else and not the fault of Curtis Trailers. The customer was going to retract their complaint with the Revdex.com.
