As Everyone who knows me knows, I had an obsession with Cusanelli's Restaurant since I first ate it in the summer of 1984. That was the year my sister (who has since passed away) was in a VERY serious car accident. She spent the next year or more at a rehabilitation Hospital just a few blocks from there. We went to visit her everyday. On Fridays, my dad (who has also since passed away) would take me to Cusanelli’s every Friday night. Once I turned 16, I would travel the 65 miles just to eat there almost weekly. I went to Cusanelli’s with my date for my Junior Prom in 1989 and my Senior Prom in 1990.
Over the years, I have introduced many many people, both young and old to Cusanelli’s Pizza.
To say that this place has special meaning to me is an understatement! Well... tonight was my last trip there! Tonight, the new owner accused me and my guest of taking a tip of another table which of course is 100% false. If I’m going to drive 65 miles just to eat a pizza, which I have done ALMOST weekly since 1984, I think I have enough money in my pocket not to see to steal a tip. This is the most absurd thing I have ever been accused of in not only my personal life, but also my business and political life as well.
I am not going to apologize. We have plenty of customers that will back us on this customers behavior. Every business has the right to deny service to an person that is displaying inappropriate behavior, so yes, that was his last time in my restaurant.

This is false. I guarantee that NO CUSTOMER nor employee saw me nor my guest steal a tip off a table because it did not happen. Any “inappropriate behavior” he is referring to happened in the parking lot and no customers were present. The only people present were my guest and a couple of his high school aged employees. I guarantee there are several waitresses he has that will back me up and I promise I can get many more character references to back me up... many are former employees of the place as well as the Cusanelli family itself... whom I have become friends with over my long-standing support of this business.
I received horrible service from this waitress twice... and rather than fix it, he would rather lose a customer by accusing them of stealing a tip.
I will proceed with a defamation lawsuit against this owner... and I hope he’s ready... because I sure as hell am!

I am rejecting this response because:
the business owner WRONGFULLY accused me and my guest of stealing a tip off another table. This did not happen. It is quite plausible that the other table did not leave a tip because they were not happy with this waitress either.
I would love to have a meeting with the owner and a couple of the other waitresses (especially the dark haired girl who is also the bartender because she is the best waitress in the place) and I can even bring members of the Cusanelli family that know what a valued customer I have been for many many years.
its a damn shame that this owner is taking the word of a teenager who is horrible at her job over a customer who has faithfully driven 65 miles (almost weekly) for over 30 years without a single complaint or problem.
