Refused to provide Fire Alarm services after installing their equipment.I purchase a Commercial building in [redacted] known as [redacted] at [redacted] blvd. At the time the operator of the restaurant had employed Custom Alarm Service Inc. According to the restaurant manager, Custom Alarm Service Inc and their equipment was intact and servicing The Restaurant to notify the local Fire Department in the event of a fire. After the tenant Restaurant owner had moved, the phone service needed to operate the alarm system was shut down and the phone wires were cut. I called [redacted] and they came just last week and restored the wiring. Today [redacted] I called Custom Alarm Service inc. to restore service and I was advised by the receptionist I would get a call back. An hour later I received a call from [redacted] who stated " we respectfully deny to provide service because of prior disconnections and for credit reasons" I dont believe I should have to bear the brunt of past performances by people other than myself. I would have been fine with a prepayment of the coverage if they had requested that of me.Desired SettlementI am looking for them to compensate me for the additional costs of the removal of their equipment and the news fees that I will have to pay at the time of new equipment being installed by a different Alarm company.Business Response Custom Alarm Service did provide service to this customer for the monitoring of the fire alarm system in a commercial building that he purchased. The monitoring service was transferred in [redacted] 2014, to his account and he was informed that phone lines were needed to monitor the alarm system.In [redacted] 2015, the monitoring service was cancelled by us for non-payment. Prior to cancellation, an invoice and a statement were mailed to this customer. Payment was not received and phone lines still had not been installed to provide the communication needed to monitor this fire alarm system. Without any response from this customer to indicate that he wanted our monitoring service, cancellation was the appropriate resolution.Over a month after cancellation, the customer did call us to say he wanted our monitoring service and that phone lines had been installed. After reviewing the past eight months of trying to work with this customer, we decided that this was not a business relationship we wished to continue and respectfully advised him to seek another alarm company to monitor the fire alarm system in his building.Custom Alarm Service installed the fire alarm equipment for the previous owner of this building. We did not sell the equipment to this customer. The installed equipment is not owned by Custom Alarm Service nor is it proprietary to us. There is no need to remove the equipment, as this person is seeking to have done. Any qualified alarm company can reprogram the fire alarm system and provide monitoring services for the building without the owner having to pay to replace or add to the system. We respectfully advise the building owner to acquire estimates from several alarm companies for monitoring service of an existing fire alarm system.
