Custom Auto Body Shop Inc Reviews (1)

Review: I came to Custom Auto body to have my 1964 Biscayne fixed after it was hit while parked on the street. [redacted] was the individual I talked with and he seemed knowledgeable so I had the car towed to custom auto body on Raytheon street. When the car showed up there it would start perfectly with no problems whatsoever. While the work was being done to the car, [redacted] or [redacted] would call me to confirm minor changes and they would ask if I wanted certain things done to the car while front fender was off. [redacted] calls me about a month or two into the repair and said he has everything finished with the car, but he can't get the car to start. So I came down to his shop and noticed one of his technicians mounted the siren for the alarm on the inner fender panel. I told him this was a mistake on their part and they probably triggered something with the alarm because his technician did not put it back together properly. He called an electrician that claimed the neutral safety switch was messed up. I said "this is odd that the car started fine when it showed up and now it won't start at all" [redacted] claimed it was a coincidence that this all happened while my car was at his shop. After the neutral safety switch was replaced that did NOT fix the problem. He then calls the electrician back who supposedly re-runs a wire to the distributor and now the car will start. I had to pay for the electrician to come "fix" the car when it was not my fault. After I get the car home I was upset about the whole situation, but I dealt with it because it would start. After looking over the repair work done to the fender and bumper I was disgusted. The front bumper did not line up at all and was hanging over 3-4 inches on one side. The door on the driver side will still not unlock the door, the headlight bulb on the side of the accident is still not working properly and the paint they painted behind the chrome bumper is scratched from their lack of care while assembling the front bumper. I called him and expressed my concern about the issues so he said he would fix them. As I'm driving the car to his shop the connection to the neutral safety switch falls off and hits my shine as I'm driving. At the time I didn't know what it was. As I pull into a gas station to full up I quickly find out the car will not start. After a conversation with my father he explains to me where the neutral safety switch is and I am able to get it back connected so it will start. I arrive at his shop a few days later and I showed him the connection piece that hit my shine when I was driving and he questioned me fixing the issue and didn't even care it happened, nor did he apologize. It seemed more of a inconvenience for him to fix the repairs he should have already fixed.

This is a car I used to drive on the weekends to shows and cruise nights, however it hasn't run since 1 week after I got the car back from Custom Auto Body and I have no idea what to do. They received thousands of dollars for the repairs to this car and still it will not start, the headlight is not fixed, the paint under the bumper is scratched, the door will not open, but most importantly the car DOES NOT START.Desired Settlement: I would like refund of all the labor done on the bumper because I will have to have it done right from another company. I refuse to deal with these people again. They need to pay for the repairs that will need to be done to the car so I can get it running because it doesn't even start. I will need a refund from the labor they spent to fix the door that still will not open. Ultimately I want the car to run with no issues. The lack of concern from this establishment is repulsive and I refuse to deal with [redacted] or [redacted] again. It's ridiculous because the car ran PERFECT before it went into their shop now it doesn't even start and they do not care. Thank you for your time.
