Custom Auto Sound by Stereo Pad/*** did a fabulous job customizing my OEM stereo in my Hyundai Genesis. He not only installed a 600 watt Phoenix Gold amplifier and a 10" Phoenix Gold subwoofer, but designed an eye catching display within the trunk using LED lighting. ***'s product knowledge in addition to his sales pitch was great! His "cash price" offer sealed the deal for me. I was extremely pleased at that time! Several months later after relocating to another city, I contacted *** to make an appointment to repair the system. The amplifier was not powering on and the mounting brackets were broken in the rear dashboard causing the amplifier to dangle. I texted a picture of the dangling amplifier in it's current state to ***. I was told the repair would probably take the better part of the day; therefore, I rented a car to use during this time. I was told the subwoofer was blown and charged $162.15 for the repair. I didn't have time to really checkout the system, I needed to get to the airport. I returned from my trip about 2 weeks later. Enroute home, I contacted *** informing him that the system still was not working. He made no suggestions, I told him once I arrived back home, I would check it out further. When I disassembled the rear dashboard again, I found the amplifier was still dangling loosely with no power. I took the car to a reputable and locally owned car stereo store. They probably diagnosed the problem as a "loose connection" with the amplifier cables. They also remounted the amplifier..total repair cost $25.00. I immediately resent the previous pic of the disabled amplifier along with a pic of the now working and safely secured amplifier. I asked *** within that text how were they able to diagnose a blown subwoofer if the amplifier was not receiving any power? I received no response. My calls were placed on indefinite hold. Given ***/Custom Auto Sound's obvious disrespect of me, deceitful actions and lies, refusal to acknowledge or accept responsibility, I dispute charge. I am so happy I did not pay a "cash price" discount for the repair! When contacted by my credit card company, *** indicated I had never made it known their was an issue with his services. I responded with copies of Custom Auto Sound by Stereo Pad's repair receipt, my car rental receipt, statement and repair receipt from the local stereo shop, my phone call log, and copies of the text messages including the pictures. Later I received a call from ***, but refused the call, Custom Auto Sound by Stereo Pad services were no long needed and definitely NOT trusted. No surprise, I won my dispute. This stereo shop did excellent work in the beginning but somewhere down the line lost sight that having great knowledge of a product to promote sales and providing a great price holds Little Value if you will not support or properly service your goods, accept responsibility, and work with the customer to gain satisfaction AFTER the sale. I will NEVER patron this business or give a recommendation specifically due to the management's lies, deceitful actions, and outright refusal to accept responsibilty in relation to their actions. ***/Custom Auto Sound by Stereo Pad LACKS intergrity and is a horrible blemish on the great small businesses community of Tucson!!
