Signed a contract after we were promised barn would be finished in May 2020. Paid over $47000.00 deposit in February and nothing happened. Sent numerous requests for status and then was told things were backed up due to covid but the drawings would be given to me for approval (which never were). When 15 April 2020 came, I put a stop order on the building since permits were not in process and I was not getting status updates so barn would not be completed when promised. As of today 27 July 2020 Justin S has provided ZERO to us. He wanted to keep the money, then promised some with outrageous charges for things we had not received and now we have an attorney. We have documentation for everything. We tried to rectify this fairly, now that we have been forced to retain an attorney, we want a full refund along with attorney fees and damages.
I had a complaint against Justin S of Custom Barns. After being forced to get an attorney and take other measures he finally decided to contact us which was AFTER this complaint was submitted. Even though I would never deal with him again nor suggest anyone else hire him, this complaint is now resolved. We compromised and got $5000 less than we should, but you can go ahead and resolve this complaint. He got your email and sent my husband a horrible text which was completely unnecessary since it was his actions that caused it. Just so you know...he is operating in both Washington state and Idaho as a licensed business and he has no license, nor does he post his license on any of his advertising.
