Highly recommend Lisa and team. We had an awful basement that I didn't think we could do anything with. Lisa visited us and shared ways we could greatly enhance the space. The before and after pictures speak for themselves but I'll also add that the project was on budget and on time. Lisa and crew were great to work with.

Custom Basements helped us transform our "semi-finished" basement to a 550 sqft living space.
We worked with Lisa, drawing from her experience on what would work and what wouldn't, we were able to pull together a design that met our needs - keeping it an open area, the various spaces (entertainment, play, work) connected while maximizing our otherwise small area.
Joel brought in his expertise to the project and was always on top of things. When issues arose (as they do for every project don't they?), we worked on them and resolved them together.
Overall, it was a very good experience that left us with a wonderful extension to our living space.

Custom Basements was referred to me after several months of debate in our household about how to renovate our basement. Our home, as many homes tend to be in metro ***, was built well over 100 years ago. It experienced fire and several previous DIY owner renovations resulting in chaotic wiring and plumbing throughout, floors and walls in disrepair and a bit of mold to top it all off. We needed professional help.
Lisa approached the entire process in a prompt, fair and professional manner. She provided a quote and discussed amendments with us directly. Lisa and her crew completed the basement within the time frame quoted.
The best attribute was their superior craftsmanship but what really made Custom Basements stand out above the rest was customer services. If we had a question or concern even on a weekend, the owner and foreman would respond with hours if not sooner. They kept us apprised of any adjustments and the progress of the basement – there was zero surprises.
It’s also worth mentioning that we have an infant who takes naps during the day. The crew were exceptional at minimizing the amount of noise while at the same time doing an exceptional job.
We cannot be happier with the outcome of the basement. To see where it started from as a dark, damp, and unwelcoming space and to see the transformation to a bright and inviting laundry/gym was amazing. The attention to detail of the trim and perfection of all aspect of the basements was superb. The basement is now a place where we can work out or just relax in comfort thanks to Custom Basements of New England.

We finished our basement this winter with Custom Basements and we are thrilled with the results. Lisa was very responsive and professional. The final product was exactly what we asked for.

From the beginning of the project, it was clear that Custom Basements knew what they were doing. From our initial meeting through the end of the project, we received exactly what we asked for in terms of the design and quality of the work. The individual workers were friendly, polite, knowledgeable about their craft and always left the work site in a clean condition at the end of a day of work. When we found out we were pregnant with our second child we immediately wanted to finish part of our basement and use it as a tv/play room for the kids. Our neighbor had used Custom Basements about a year ago and recommended them to us and so we reached out right away. Lisa, the owner, came to our home to meet with us and go over everything from what we were looking for to the options that they offered. We signed off and gave a deposit that day and it was only a short time before our basement was finished. We signed off Thanksgiving week, they started the work at the end of January, and the work was complete in less than a month. We ended up finishing just under 400 sq feet of our basement which includes a large tv/play room as well as a separate office for my husband. We were very impressed with the professionalism and courteousness of Lisa (the owner), Joel (our project manager), and the various individuals that worked on the project. It took less than a month for them to complete the job and despite the expected construction noises, it really didn't impact us at all. The workers would arrive first thing in the morning, walk around to the back of our home, enter through the bulkhead, and then come and go the same way. Overall it was a very positive experience and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

We hired Lisa La*** of Custom Basements, Woburn in January of 2019 to refinish our basement. They started the project before the schedule date and finished before the finish date. Lisa and her team who came to the house where friendly, professional and paid attention to details. She had great suggestions on how to finish the basement, and would come over to discuss any updates or changes that we wanted done before continuing the work. Joel the Project Manager was a pleasure to work with, he was always willing to help out with any questions or concerns that we had.
I’m so glad we decided to go with them, everything came out beautiful. We already bought a TV and sectional so we can enjoy our new family room right away.

We are delighted with our new basement. It has been ~ 2 yrs since Lisa and her crew installed their custom basement products in our basement. It is a beautiful space and looks as good as new. The crew delivered what was planned and contracted. We asked for some new features, specifically a spiral staircase, and Lisa's team delivered a beautiful staircase.

We converted our completely unfinished basement. We now have tv, exercise and gaming areas, a mudroom, and two storage areas. Custom Basements started our job right on time. They were reliable, respected our home, and finished on budget. Lisa was all about their customer service. She came out to our home several times before we even signed with them to help us walk through various plans. She was easy to work with and very professional. The carpenter, Dave, was meticulous with his work. He worked hard, always looked at things from the homeowner’s point of view, cleaned up at the end of every day, and finished every detail at the end. They even covered the inside of the walls of the storage areas so we wouldn’t have exposed insulation. We love everything from the walls to the floor to the lighting to the ceiling. They did everything to maximize our space, and it looks beautiful!

Lisa and her team did a fabulous job. Our basement looks elegant and is a place of great enjoyment for our family. We were pleased that the job was completed ahead of schedule.
