To Whom it may concern- This is my response to the complaint.I entered a contract with the complainant..in reference to a remodel of whole houseIt was explained from the very beginning that there were three item that would be budget numbers due to not knowing exact materials used and that was flooring , countertops and cabinetsthese were budget numbers onlyIt she upgraded it would be more but they were budget numbers and if she went under budget it would be lessThe cabinets were done at my usual budget number which was at dollars a linear footThis is the first project my budget number had ever been over more than dollars The complainant did give me a drawing from an online cabinet place to give me ideas about what she wanted and this was passed on to the cabinets company who drew the plans for her reviewThe cabinet designer designed the first attachment in which was fairly close to the budget numberThey the complainant added several items to the design in which was the second attachment to this responseThe complainant reviewed the attachment and approved in an email the attachment with the layout and pricingShe knew at the time what her budget number was and what the cost in which she approved wasI asked when she started to complain about change order for the additional cost and she did not want to remove any item but wanted me to pay for her cabinetsThere was at no time a point where her project was stopped and the statement I made was that I could not install her cabinets until the change order for the additional cost of the cabinets were paid

The contractor was not honest in his bid The plans I approved were for the specifications of the kitchen I repeatedly told him should be in the bid and he assured me the bid did include my specifications The GC knew exactly what I wanted in the kitchen so for him to say he could not put an actual number on it, isn't true He was hired based on his bid of 86,Had he told me honestly that 86,was not true number of my project as stated to him, I would not have hired himI have documentation that the true kitchen design was stated to him and his designer up front I also have documentation that he at no time indicated to me my project cost would be more than 86,What GC is stating us not true I should not have to pay him more for designs that he led me to believe were in the bid These are not changes These are the original project plans
