The satellite installer sold my wife a product with a promised price, and did not discount the price as promised. Was misleading as well.The installer told my wife she could buy a bluetooth headset for $100 that would work with our new receiver. She said no thanks, so he lowered the price to $50. Upon further investigation, the headset only works with a more expensive receiver which we didn't have, and they charged us the full price of $100. I called the manager of the location and he said he would call back. He never did. I called again, and the receptionist took my number and said he would call me back shortly. The next day I called back and they told me he had been, and would be out of the office all week. When I asked if someone else could help, they transferred me to [redacted]. [redacted] won't refund the money because my wife signed the contract not realizing that the installer hadn't adjusted the price. She trusted his word, and he took advantage of her and misled her. He acted like he didn't know that the headset wouldn't work for our receiver, but that would be common knowledge for someone who sells the product and installs it.Desired SettlementI want the company to honor the price that the installer promised and refund the $50 difference. I would also like a written apology for deceitful sales practices and refusing to deal with the issue. The latter being a shot in the dark, of course. Custom Communications does not handle any financial information or account transactions with any [redacted] customer's account. Consumer Response I understand, however...the equipment I am referring to are headphones that are not offered by [redacted]. They are sold by Custom Communications only. [redacted] does not offer or sell the [redacted] headphones. So it's absolutely not [redacted]'s issue....it is in fact your company, specifically, the Greensboro location. According to the [redacted] Customer Loyalty Department, at 09:03AM MST on 12/12/2014 an account holder from this account contacted [redacted] and stated customer "was going to return the headphones but step-son stepped on them and now they are not working."
