This is a hair salon I've been to in the past and have loved their work. Recently a family friend got her hair done and it turned out so beautifully, I thought I'd go again. The hairdresser, Linda, was very kind and was honest when I showed her what I wanted my hair to look like. She said the color or my hair was dark and wouldn't lift well and I told her that I've had my hair bleached years ago and don't have a problem with coming back to get it lightened over time. She proceeded to tease and apply bleach to my hair and let the heat run it's course, she checked on it and then opened up the foils to apply more bleach and run the machine again on higher heat this time. She then toned it and it turned out orange. When I asked if we could get the orange color out, she said of course and applied dye to it. At this point, my hair was so damaged that I didn't want her to apply more heat to my hair so I paid and left. When I get home, I can't even put my fingers through my hair and there are three tones of orange and blonde in my hair. I deep conditioned and put many oils on my hair and it still feels like straw. When I called the front desk to complain, they said they'd give me a call and didn't call until the next day. I finally got in touch with the owner who immediately gave me an attitude saying I messed up my own hair and that she would not give me a refund, I didn't even get to explain myself to her and was cut off many times. She mentioned that there is paperwork that I signed freeing them from obligation but that paperwork was not presented to me. They messed my hair up so badly, I wanted a refund and she said that I Wouldn't get one even though they made the mistake of not giving me paperwork. The problem is not that my hair isn't the color I want it, it's that it's three different colors and completely fried and the owner treated me with so much disrespect even when I was trying to de-escalate the situation and find a solution for the both of us. She hung up saying she was too busy for me.

Refund Since I was not presented with the paperwork that released them from responsibility and they admitted that it was their fault, I would like my money back so I can go to another salon to fix my hair. I believe I am owed an apology by the owner who judged and treated me so badly when I was trying to find a solution and speaking to her respectfully. Clients should never be treated badly or be yelled at and she did both but I don't think she is capable of being respectful so I request my money back.
Sorry we didn't redeve first notice due to our salon moving to a new location end of June. We have been in business for 32 1/2 years & never encountered anyone like this young lady. She admitted she & her friend do each others hair at home with box color from the store. Her hair was black & she wanted it bleached to a very light blonde . As she was told by the stylist, it takes several visits to bleach black hair up to a very light blonde. She would need to return to repeat the process, but after completing the color process, she didn't want to come back & spend more money. She tipped $30 to the stylist & left. After arriving home, she called the salon & demanded her money back. Receptionist explained our policy to her but she would not listen. She continued calling the salon repeatedly the next day & harassing the receptionist, even indicating that the receptionist would lie to the owners about her situation. ,The owner called her the next day after talking to stylist & tried to explain our policy on corrective color, but she was very agitating & would not listen to anything you had to say. She is a master at debating & appeared to love it. She tied up our business phone for about 15 to 20 minutes, but unlike what she said, no one hung up or said they were too busy for her. Since she was threating all kind of things, wasn't sure what kind of scene she would make in the salon, we agreed to give her a
$175.00 Keratin Treatment on her hair. Due to all of her home colors & bleach on her hair ,we could not do anything else other than the Keratin Treatment. It leaves your hair in a silky,shiney condition.Clients don't understand, when they put bleach or color on their hair, it remains until it is cut off or grows completely off. Our stylist did not double bleach her hair as she indicated, she simply rernoistened it.
We do not use dye , It's considered color or toner. She did not know about a Corrective Color Release form. Owner only told her to make a point about this process, but then she tried to use it against us. If anyone was rude or disrespectful to her at our salon, I apologize.
