Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
I would like to point out that nothing
in *** response refutes my complaint, but rather substantiates my
complaintThere is no signed contract indicating the cost, and the receipt for
the $we paid does not say that it's for a "deposit"Explaining
the cost is the responsibility of the business ownerThis was a "bait and
switch"B admits that we bought the fabric ourselves, which should have
been included in the $costHowever, since we bought the fabric, we own it,
and it should have been given to us without extorting us for additional money
She expected us to just let her keep all that fabric and all our money for
nothingB admits that she didn't even start the dress until long after the due
date of 9/She admits that the corset change was at the first fitting,
therefore it is no excuse for her poor work or her delinquencyB claims we
didn't tell her that we were unhappy with her work, but describes several of us
pointing out everything wrong with it and the poor work down to the last
minuteShe admits that we told her we were going to have to have someone else
finish the dress, and that the dress was not finished when we got itSeveral
of us told B that we were extremely upset about all of this, even before we
took our fabric back, and my mother told her that day that we would be pursuing
further action to get our money backUnfortunately, B ignored these
complaintsShe backed us into a corner with only days before my wedding to
the point where we had no other choice but to take the unfinished fabric, and I
believe she did this intentionally to extort usI did post photos of the poor
work by B on my Facebook page, and I did write honest reviewsI never told
anyone else to write any reviews, but people (even strangers) were so mortified
by her awful work, they chose to comment on B's photos of the dressWhat other
people do is not my responsibilityHowever, I would like to point out that B
has a previous Revdex.com complaint against her for the same issues, and many other
complaints elsewhere, so this is a pattern with herAnd yes, I did inform B
that if we could not settle this civilly, that I will be forced to pursue legal
actionI do not intend to let this go and allow anyone else to be extorted by
this businessI still have not been refunded, so I reject B's response
Regards,

Ms*** *** contacted me about making a dress for her daughter ***She submitted a picture to me and we discussed the price I explained to her that she would need to pay half down before I could start the work Ms*** came in and paid the $down and I gave her a
receipt, she never told me that she wasn't sure of the cost of the dress or asked me anything else about how much the dress would cost *** came in for measurements and we discussed the dress She signed the policy and never asked for the price of the dress so I was under the understanding that the cost of the dress was something that her mother was handling and *** was aware of my discussion with her mother After I finished all of my weddings for September I went to the *** shop in Round Rock Texas with my husband to see if I could find the fabric for *** dress there I saw some fabric with stars on it and took a picture and sent it to ***, she stated that she did not like the fabric and that she would she if she could find what she wanted So I did not search for the fabric anymore She contacted me about the fabric and I informed her that they could pick it up if they likeI was at the *** on University Blvd and they were at the *** on Braker when I received a call from them stating that they saw some fabric but that store didn't have enough so I pulled the fabric and left it behind the cutting table with their name on it so they could see it when they got thereMeanwhile before this around October 1st *** came in for her fitting in the mockup dress She had on a different corset at that time and we fitted the dress, not one time did she state that it was not the dress she wantedAfter the mockup was made and all of the adjustments made I had *** to come in for another fitting this is when she changed the corset and therefore I had to make more changes such as to the waistShe kept stating that she wanted it to be tighter at the waist All of the changes that *** requested were madeClose to her last fitting she came in with her friend and her cousinWhile I was fitting the dress to her, her cousin was pulling on the dress and picking at the stars, I had to asked her to step away from the dress so that I could mark whatever adjustments needed to be made and for her to stop picking at the stars before she pull them off *** came back with her friend and wanted the front part of the dress moved to her hip I explained that it was at her hip Her friend finally explained to her that she was asking me to move it below her hip and not at her hip I made all changes and secured all of the stars to the dress, we had scheduled for *** to come in for the final fitting and she didn't show up and stated that she when home and would have her mother to pick her dress up the next day I asked about the pieced that needed to be tacked down and she stated that she would have her cousin to do it So when her mother came I told her the final payment that was due and this is when she stated that she was confused about the price of the dress Meanwhile *** cousin was pulling on the stars on the dress and messing with the dressI also offered to Ms *** if they did not like the dress and didn't want to pay for it they could leave without it She stated that she should have verified the cost with me and she paid the final payment minus the cost of the fabric and left with the dressI never heard anything back from them until November 8th when I was looking at my facebook page They never contacted me to discuss this When *** finally contacted me she had all of her friends to post on my facebook page and she posted on yelp and google I responded and that is when she called me We discussed it and she stated that she just wanted the money however, It was explained to her that if she wasn't happy with the dress she should never had left the shop with it, wore it and had it altered She kept telling me that her uncle is a District Attorney and makiing threats about harassing me until she runs me out of businessSo I put her on way conversation with my daughter and my daughter asked her what is it she really want and she stated that she wanted some of the money back because she felt that the dress should not have cost $dollars, I explained to her that if she felt that they should have said something before they took the dress, wore it and altered it I have recording conversation, notes, pictures and contract

**. [redacted], contact me and asked if I could make a dress for her little girl. She provided a picture through the email of the dress. She came in and told me the things that she did not want on the dress and the things that she did want on the dress. She told me that she did not want the dress to...

have the beads glued on like the picture. She stated that when she orders the dress from online that it is made with cheap fabric and everything is glued. She stated that she wanted all hand beaded. She did not want the beading on the shoulders. She said that she only wanted it on the front of the dress and on the neck and waist area. She stated that she wanted rhinestones, crystal and pearls. She stated that she wanted pink and baby pink crystal and rhinestones, she also stated that she wanted the dress to be puffy. she later emailed and asked me to make a bow and add beads to it. I provided what she requested. Since she asked for me to make changes to the dress I was not copying someone else's designs so I told her I could make the dress.  I added the rhinestones, crystals and pearls to the dress and made it puffy the way that she requested it.  The dress has four layers of tulle, under dress, netting and a lining to make it puffy.  The top of the dress has the crystals, rhinestones and pearls.  The piece on the blue dress is a glued on applique so there is no way the two dresses would look exactly the same when she stated that she did not want the beading glued on.  The charge was $380 plus tax which came to $411.00.  She also wanted a pant suit made for her son which is in the cost of the $380.  She send her husband to pick up the dress.
