I am rejecting this response because:There are some serious issues with the stair installation.At one of the meetings between myself and [redacted] at his store he told me that all the stair nose pieces would be glued only and he showed some special glue he said he was going to use for that.He said it is very expensive and made in Germany and that we could not use the stair for a day or so until the glue had cured.All the nose pieces are stapled/nailed.Plus most noses are not flush with the adjacent wood on the step,about half of the noses protrude more than the allowable 1-1/4" out from the riser,all except two risers hight is more than the allowed maximum of 7-3/4", the riser on the top of the stair measures 8-1/4" and ten other ones are at 8".The two pieces of baseboard at the bottom landing have excessive gaps to the floor that did not get fixed together with the other baseboards.I also keep finding more and more places where caulking was smeared across adjacent floor and never cleaned. I realize that they did not build the stair, but totally ignoring building code when redoing it is totally stupid.It would have taken some shimming to take care of the riser heights.As for the cost for shims and the extra labor I am sure a experienced floor guy would have that figured into their quote.I did NOT hire a CUSTOM FLOORING  COMPANY to have that stair SLAPED in but that is what they did.

In regards to the 2 boxes of wood taken off your job site, this was an error on my part of the ordering process. [redacted] had given you an estimate on the amount of wood that was needed to complete the job. In the ordering process, communication got mixed up, and I...

ended up ordering more wood than was needed- please note, when the estimate was sent it was including the amount of wood you actually needed. I ordered to much so we, as a company, ended up paying money out of pocket because of the overage of wood. (Example, the estimate reflected us having to buy 10 boxes of wood- I ordered 12, you still just pay for the 10 (there were no changes made on your invoice for extra wood) and I have to pay for the extra two boxes because of my mistake-this is just an example). I did look at Home Depot website and I could not find Mullican Natural Hickory pre-finished as a product they sold. They had one product of a different color at $94 a box..
To resolve this, I am willing to give you the extra two boxes of wood. We still have them in the back of our warehouse.
