Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I was told by the foreman that the glass blocks had come in around the first of AugustThey were not put in until the weekend of Sept 12, [redacted] was fired and did not complete the work that he was hired to doHe did not complete the boundary wall and the gutter that he was hired to doI sent him a check for the work that he had done but I put a stop on it when the tile started coming upHis rebuttal is not accurate.It is not just a couple of tiles that came up that is the problemEvidently they used the wrong material under the tileIt is all mush and all of the grout has begun to crackA plumber has told me that they put in the wrong drain and that the one they used was too tallWhen The entire bottom of the shower is having to be removed and replacedThe also did not finish resurfacing the ceilings that they were supposed to on the first jobI will attach pictures of this as wellAt the beginning of this job I was not unhappy with their workMy home was in need of quite a few repairsI had hoped to get it all done before summer was overBecause of poor scheduling this did not happenI tried to be understanding about their not showing up the many times I was told they would be there and then they would show up several days laterI was off for the summer for the most partAfter school was back in secession it was an imposition to have to leave my house openIt was unnerving to have people leaving things open etc....My shower is unusableI will have to hire someone to repair itAs that I have paid for the work that was done, I believe I should be reimbursed for the amount of this repairI would never have undertaken this process had [redacted] not began threatening court action even before they had completed their jobI had always written him a draw check upon requestHe had not reason to think that I would not payThe only reason that he did not receive his final payment was quite simple: the job was unfinished and what they did do was unacceptable as evidenced in the pictures I have sent you Regards, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: If you look at the pictures that I have attached you will see that the work that this company did has rendered my shower unusableAfter waiting months to have the shower finished it didn't hold up but for weeksThe company was dismissed for a number of reasonsI was uncomfortable with them working at my house because it was obvious that they had went into parts of the house that they had absolutely no business in. The work was to be completed before I went back to schoolMy home is rather secluded and this was just really unsettlingThe owner of the company himself told me that he had hired a man that had worked at my house that was arrested for car theftHe was in jail at that timeThis is beside the point but it is understandable that I would let them goAnother employee had stolen equipment from him while working at my house. The last time they showed up was on a Friday when I had been told they would be there on Tuesday to correct the gutter that they had totally messed upI have also attached a picture of that where it showed that they basically sealed that upThen they refused to complete the jobI would have attached more pictures but you only allow
I have the entire text conversation from start to finish if need be to show what was promised as well as the unprofessional responsesI am not sure what paper work he is talking about as that he has none that I have seen other than an invoice he left with me that was written in an incoherent fashionAt the time it was given to me, I started to say something about it but was afraid I would offend himI would think that after paying $17,I would at least have a working shower

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID .*** * and find that Mediation is necessaryI have not bought the sealer for the grout as of yetThe company that repaired the shower floor said that none of the grout had been sealedI was told that this is and customary for new tileI am attaching the receipt for this repairIt show what they had to do just to repair the floorThere are additional pictures that will show the poor quality of the work that was done at my houseI also have the entire transcript of the texts sent between *** *** and myselfThe majority of conversations were by textI am not asking for reimbursement for the gate latches that have to be installed on two of the gates that were part of the fenceNor, am I asking for reimbursement to have the ceiling redone where it is obvious that paint was just slopped on haphazardlyAlso, the paint in the front bathroom is blue not greyIt is a complete mismatchPart of this job was that they were to clean up after themselves; there are still tubes of something and miscellaneous trash on my roof as well as cigarette butts everywhereI find them every time I am outside

After about months my Laminate Floor was coming apart in the middle of the roomThe supervisor came to my house and told me there was nothing he could do to repair the floor panels that were popping up

I really love how this client has wrote her complaint.  My company stands behind our labor 100%, when the company is paid in full.  She fails to add the so many changes in the middle of the project that she was never charged for. She took my kindness for stupid and started demanding things...

that was never in our agreement. I took it for a while to keep my client happy as I always do. At some point enough is enough.  I've been doing this a long time and have met all types of people good and bad. Just because some people are teachers don't make them nice people. She can write what she wants.  I went above and beyond to go with the many changes behind someone else not liking a color.  We repainted at no new cost in labor! ! Her home was built by a do it yourself man very poorly. Nothing in the home is square or level.  Her plumbing is running on the ground and clogged up and I paid for a plumber to come prove that is was not apart of our job. But, I fixed it and never gave her a bill for the front part of the or the back. I told her before I would start the second part of the job that I had prior jobs to do before I could start. So, with all those dates she threw in she knew I would not be there. Anybody can write and say what they want. I have my paperwork and this will be handled in court as she has spoke the truth there.

Fact is, this could and has turned into a he said she said thing. We are very sorry two tiles have come up. Very easy to fix though!  She has left so many gaps in her story to make us out to be such awful people.  During the first part of the project nearly the end. She was so happy and couldn't wait for me to start her next project.  At that time I told her I would but it would be after I finished the job already scheduled. At that time she said she would like to have glass blocks by her tub window.  We had already been hired to replace the broken window in that area.  In which I had already purchased.  Non refundable! ! This was just one of her number of times changing things. (Demanding) at my expense non the less!! So yes, we didn't finish the window from the first part of the project due to her changes. When talking about the first part of the project,  she made statement that she wasn't looking for fancy she just wanted working.  She said she had so many projects and wanted to save money. We give her what she ask for and then she starts with demanding more stuff like a shower door that was not in our bid, but for 200.00 to keep things from getting nasty.  I got one and installed it when we came back to start the second part of the project.  So, the months that she is saying we took is very much wrong and she knows it. It is not surprising that she is written these things because I have heard so many of them.  She clearly knows that I got sick of her trying to take advantage of my company and pulled my employee's from the job site. She has not paid her full bill and that is directly default! ! Her work is under warranty when it is paid for. She says she doesn't want my company back, so be it! Pay your bill you owe and I will pay a company to fix those two tiles. You can't expect a company to stand by the warranty if you don't pay your bill. It's always the contractor that losses in cases with people like [redacted].  I have been in business a very long time and have seen my share of people trying to get something for nothing.
