Review: In January of 2012, we needed our sunroom roof replaced as it was leaking in the room. We had our entire roof for the home replaced prior to the sunroom but it was not covered under our insurance so we proceeded to find another company to replace our sunroom roof. The company replaced the roof and the following year we had the same issue with the same area of the sunroom leaking. They came out and "repaired" the issue but we then had the same issue, in the same place, again in 2014. At this time, they began to claim that it was the roof company that put our original roof on that was too blame. The other company came out and we played phone tag and had many arguments between the companies. [redacted] then attempted to call Custom Home Elements to discuss the roof issue and left messages but they did not reply. We then received evidence that Custom Home Elements was to blame and that they had installed things incorrectly and over charged us for the job. We sent them, via e-mail, all of the findings in which they still blamed our original roof company. My wife and I decided to go with [redacted] to repair the roof. We now have documentation of all of the things that Custom Home Elements did incorrectly with diagrams, pictures, and documents and everything that [redacted] had to do to put our roof up to code and make is secure. It cost us another $3700 to fix the roof due to their neglect and short cuts to our Sunroom room. Custom Home Elements charged us $3500 to fix the roof and they did not need all the materials in their estimate and took short cuts with the roof that damaged it to be completely replaced by [redacted]. The original quote for the roof by [redacted] was $1500 until they uncovered more damage and more replacement parts were needed.Desired Settlement: I am in the military and my wife is a teacher; we want our money back that we had to pay to [redacted] for Custom Home Elements neglect of the project. This roof should have cost of $1500 and instead it has a cost of $7200!
