Initial Business Response /* (1000, ** 2015/11/23) */
October 19, 2015 [redacted] (513 Village Green Drive) came into the leasing office to report bees coming into her apartment and that she had been stung by a bee, Cathy[redacted] (leasing consultant) asked Ms, [redacted] if she was in need of medical...

help. Ms. [redacted] said that she was ok. I (Margo [redacted],Manager) overheard the conversation and went to make sure Ms. [redacted] was not having a reaction to the bee sting. I asked if I could see the sting and she showed me her lower arm_ There were two red marks asked if she was feeling ok and she said she was fine. She said that her father was allergic to bee stings. We asked again if she thought she needed any medical treatment. She indicated that she was ok. She also said that the stings were from a couple hours prior to coming into the leasing office. We told her that we would have Chris (Maintenance Supervisor) go to her apartment to take care of this matter,
On October 22, 2015 [redacted]'s Mother called and threatened to sue us due to the bees coming into her daughter's apartment and that she wanted her to move. We told her that we were working on the matter and that if [redacted] wanted to give notice we understood. [redacted]'s lease had previously expired and she has continued to live at Village Green on a month to month basis
Chris (Maintenance Supervisor) again went to the apartment and Saw a few bees in the area of Ms.
[redacted]'s apartment. He then sprayed the perimeter of that building. The next day she called back and said she had more bees come into her apartment. Again, Chris went back over and sprayed the building
again. Chris spoke with a neighbor and she said that bees were coming in her apartment as well. Chris sprayed around the areas that he could see bee activity. The next morning he sealed around bath vents, under cabinet's where water lines are and drains, bath/kitchen lights, dryer vent and the set off three bombs in between floor Joist. The next day Chris pulled the siding back and found a bee hive. He then
sprayed the bee hive with bee spray and used a shop vac to suck up the bees until they were gone. He then removed the bee hive. The insulation was replaced and the siding was put back into place.
After removal of the bee hive a member of the staff went over to Ms. [redacted]'s apartment to check for any further bee activity. Ms. [redacted] notified the leasing office that she would be gone during the weekends
and we informed her that we would continue to check her apartment daily. On Saturday Oct. 24, 2015 Kayla [redacted] (leasing consultant) found one dead bee near the medicine cabinet and it was removed,

Since then, I have left messages on Ms. [redacted]'s voice mail asking if she had any more bee sightings. Emails were also sent. She has never replied to our follow up voice mails and e-mails.
On November S, 2,015 I received an email from [redacted] stating that she contacted the Health Department about the safety of the building. I contacted the health department and Andrea [redacted] at the Health Department indicated that they had not been contacted by Ms. [redacted] and that bees were not an issue the Health Department would address,
On November 16, 2015 I received a letter from the Revdex.com thus initiating this response,
Margo [redacted]
Property Manager
Village Green Apartments

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2015/12/01) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Immediate remediation to the bee problem was not done. Instead of having the maintenance supervisor come into my apartment every time I called because I saw a bee, an exterminator should have been called (IMMEDIATELY). After an exterminator called, I should have been MOVED to a safer building- hive free. Also, my mother did not call to threaten that we were going to sue Village Green, she was concerned for my safety- because of the lack of care taken to remove the beehive (none was done)- bees were still getting into the apartment. If I was/am stung again, Margo would have been liable due to the fact that there is still a BEE HIVE in the walls, the maintenance supervisor has only found ONE but not all of them. Village Green records find that there were still live bees coming into the apartment 5 days after I was stung. Also, the woman that lived above me was moved because of all of the bees getting into her apartment. Why hasn't the leasing department voluntarily moved me out of the apartment that has bee hives in the walls? Why did they not call an exterminator? Why wee they waiting for the bees go dormant? What is going to happen in the spring, they obviously have not solved the problem.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2015/12/17) */
Contact Name and Title: David [redacted] Managing Member
The consumer's rebuttal to business response is nothing more than a regurgitation of the original complaint. As per the business' original response, the consumer, a resident of Village Green apartments complained of bees. Management responded to each complaint and located and removed a bee hive that was found in the building the consumer lived. Management has proof of the removal of the bee hive. Consumer has since given notice to vacate the apartment on 11/11/2015 and has since moved from Village Green apartments on 12/14/2015. There are no bees, the consumer no longer lives at the property, there is noting further to resolve.
