Custom Metal Roofing

We contacted Custom Metal Roofing for a new roof and snow guards. This was our home in St. Germain Wisconsin. Contract was signed stating this. They installed the roof and said they would return to install the snow guards and that was two years ago and they have not returned to finish the job. We asked to be notified when they would be doing the construction which they agreed to because we wanted to be there. When I called the office Mary (owner) gave me the date but when we arrived they were a no show. This happened three times for a total of 900 hundred miles for us to travel. They installed the roof when we were not there. They need to get their act together very disappointed. We are now in the process of having to do a hot water heater and piping and need to replace a section of the metal roofing and they have refused to sell us additional sheet of roofing. We are at loss how to match this roof without their help. This is a nightmare for us. They have been payed in full so they have washed their hands of us regardless of our contract. THEY ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL IN THEIR WORK

Review: 1st mistake I paid $5,000 in advance and was told it was a one day job "for the last roof I would ever need". Very hard to get them started, then the one day job took weeks to finish. Over the winter about 8 pannels of roofing broke loose and slid down until they could go no further. They claimed Ice caused it. They had only one screw in each 20' pannel. I called many times to no avail and finaly they showed up and fixed part of the problem, left saying they would return in 3 days. That was over a month ago. No one ever answers the phone and no one ever returns the call, Building is leaking water every time it rains. When they left after the initial installation the ground was covered with nails and very sharp scraps of tin sniped metal. They claim at lease 6 roofs failed in the same maner. I am sure it will happen again, like next winter. They claim that the company supplying them screws kept making them shorter. I would like 3 screws in iach pannel with rubber grommets to keep the water out. In addition to all of this when the roof slid off it took out my gutters and I want them replaced.Desired Settlement: 3 new screws of the proper length with rubber grommets in each pannel and replace the dammaged gutters and leaf guards.

Review: Custom Metal Roofing (CMR) put a new metal roof on my house in 2011. The Spring of 2011 was very rainy and twice we had rainwater pouring into our kitchen and newly renovated powder room while the roof was being installed. CMR did not attempt to fix any of the damage inside. Next they tried to not complete the gutter job that was part of the contract because they wrote their diagram incorrectly and missed my upper gutters. As it stands they hooked up my old downspouts to the new gutters in some places. While they were completing the job we dropped a tree on the edge of the new roof and that was repaired by CMR. At first they asked for a bonus at the end of the project for fixing that for us and I was OK with that, but then when they wouldn't respond to me about making fixes to the inside for the rain water damage to our new kitchen and bathroom, I decided they did not deserve a bonus. The current issue is that there is leakage around our chimney, that is continuing to damage the plaster in the bedroom on the top floor. I had a chimney repair company look at it and they said that it is because there are gaps in the flashing and no silicone around the tapcons and that I should contact the roofing company because they did not finish this properly. I have made numerous attempts to contact CMR via phone and email and have gotten zero response.Desired Settlement: I want them to contact me and come fix the gaps, so the damage stops inside the house. Or if they would prefer, they can pay for the chimney company to come fix the mistake.

Review: CMR installed a metal roof 3 years ago. I now have panels falling off my roof. I've called multiple times and [redacted] says it will be looked at next week. Well now it's been 2 months and no one has contacted me to address this problem.Desired Settlement: Replace the loose roof segments asap.

I had Custom Metal Roofing replace my roof in 2012. They were late in installation and did not finish the job. No downspouts replaced. I now have water coming into my home.

Review: I contracted with CMR last November, 2012 to replace the roof on my home with a new metal roof. Roof was installed but the job was not completed, gutter guards were not reinstalled. Contacted [redacted] , [redacted], and he advised this would be taken cre of in the spring. After the winter thaw, during a spring rain, I noticed rain coming in to each of the bathroom ceilings thru the exhaust fans. Tried to call the company with this problem but got no respons, so I sent a letter telluing them about it. Still no response. In the mean time with every rainfall there is still leaking thru the vents. One room has significant water and mold damage.

Tried again o get response from CMR. Reached [redacted] and he finally came out to see about my complaint. He was not very helpful about a solution to the problem. Said he would get back to me. That was a month ago and now there is more damage to the ceilings . Tried to reach CMR this week and get no amswer on the phone nor any return call on my messages left. I paid a lot of money ($12,000.00) to have the roof replaced because the old roof leaked. Now I have a new rood with more leaks than the old roof had.Desired Settlement: I would like the job to be finished and done properly. I paid to have the gutter guards reinstalled by a local handyman.I was not offered reimbursment. I want proper vent covers, not just PVC pipe sticking out of the roof and a warranty that this will not be a problem in the future. Also stains in ceilings fixed. One has to have the ceiling replaced because of the damage / mold.

I had been making monthly payments on the final payment, I stopped making these payments when I received no response to my complaints.

Never received any paper work regarding any warranty on the roof.

Sorry for the delay I have been out of the office working in the northern part of the state. I have been in touch with the customer several times and have stopped at her home. We should have a resolution shortly. We installed a metal roof on her mobile home where the roof was in bad shape which caused her leaking problems and mold and damage that is why she wanted the the metal roof installed. We have not been paid in full on the job we allowed her to make payments on the balance. Normally the job should be paid in full at time of completion there is still a balance due of $1,216.94. Review: They installed a metal roof at my cottage in [redacted]. The roof was installed incorrectly according to several other contractors. I've called several times and asked them to come fix the problem. The roof leaks and has leaked since they installed it near every location where there is a vent coming out. There is alsos major damage in the house as a result of an ongoing leak near the chimney.

I can't them to to call me back or fix the problem.Desired Settlement: I need the roof fixed ASAP. I also want the damage fixed from the leaking roof inside.
