Custom Paving & Seal Coating

Review: I had my drive way totally redone. Included remove all debris add item stone base then power roll. Then repave driveway with black top when finished power roll. Cost $4600 paid cash since the individual in charge [redacted] custom paving & seal coating stated cash would be cheaper then by check. Anyway his contract stated no sealer will be used on job unless contractor approved and of course if I was to use anyone ,but them it would void contract also mind you that most contractors limit you soley to using them to avoid the competition. Anyway this job was done on 10/*/12. On 5/**/13 I used seal tech white glove treatment tel# ###-###-#### [redacted] sealed 900 sq.ft. $216. he noticed gravel was loose stated end job by custom paving was not done correctly prehaps weather to cold not hot enough for gravel to adhere and looked like not enough asphalt used to bind it. approx 3 years later it is getting worse. The original contractor was called [redacted] tel # ###-###-#### he came over to take a look and stated I used someone ealse and not him and wanted approx $600 for two coats of oil seal and that I should not have used acyrilic and stated it would be a 50/50 chance he could correct issue. Never offered to make it right to uphold his reputation blamed everything on my choice of sealer contractor seal tech is reputable [redacted]. I also had J[redacted] tel ####-###-#### Revdex.com member it was a lady that came over don't recall the name but should be on file with them. She stated it was a poor job had nothing to do with the seal or sealer used the contributor to my loose gravel and driveway condition it was the original contractor custom paving & seal coating poor workmen ship.Desired Settlement: At the time of repair of driveway I was going through cancer treatments and used money from aflac policy to pay for this service and I paid. [redacted] $3500 DEPOSIT THEN $1100 upon completion point being that he knows its a bad job in his behalf and takes no sole responsibility blames it on all other factors since I did not use him to seal driveway also I'm a state correction officer and I don't want him to fabricate that I am using my authority status to strong arm or manipulate him into committing himself to the request that I am now making I would like to remedy this issue by having custom paving reimbuise me half of the $4600 that I paid CASH total would be $2300 so I can have driveway resealed then sand coated or what ever is required to correct issue I will be using J[redacted] tel. ###-###-#### Revdex.com Member with over 25 yrs experience. This request is fair since its half it was 3 years ago I paid him cash which he doesn't have to pay taxes on and regardless of contract I've had to legit independent opinions and they all state poor end results when finishing the job by custom paving and when [redacted] came over 3 yrs later I showed him the condition of the drive way he wanted more money ofcouse in the form of cash to try to fix matter instead of offering to help me . I don't want custom paving to harass me or on my property just want to correct issue in a civil matter thank you inadvance.
