I purchased a geo system from Des Moines Comfort, which was a waterfurnace Envision system, 4.5 ton with a closed loop ground source water system. I am very disappointed in both Des Moines comfort and Waterfurnace. Only 7 years later the coil has developed a small refrigerant leak and they will not warranty the coil replacement as they claim it is a "commercial" system that was installed in my house. Search the internet- this company has issues with their coils leaking. My provider quit carrying waterfurnace due to this issue and all the problems they had.
A terrible company. Bought a geothermal unit and in ten years the compressor died, the evaporator and another part, all adding up to about $8k. They gave us a small discount which over those $8k saved us about $300 overall. Tried talking with them over Facebook and shared our experiences and they only deleted my posts... I guess I was inconveniencing them and costing them money. I am looking for recourse. We spent a lot of money on this and they are acting like they I is not a big deal that we have had these issues. I guess since they are a corporation it doesn't seem like a big deal by to my family of five this was supposed to be an investment that saved us money over the long run. We bought into what they said would be a good product and now they have turned their backs on us. Don't work with them if you can help it.
