I had bad taste from ***, the owner of this business. I got fooled by the reviews and pics on the business website. Please do not get fooled by the reviews, pics and "low price" on the website. This is "low price" scam. I was generous to give him 50% of the cost of the work PLUS he insisted more money to order stone veneers; now he has 72% of the cost of total job. Now you are stuck! He was dragging the job because he already has 72% of the cost. What he did, he tried to drag the job for months and insisted to pay total cost without completing the job. All he did is he tried to get the whole cost without completing the job an run away. He told me to complete the job in two weeks but he took two and half months. My family and I got our lives back after two and half months of harassment. He has no clue what masonry is. He broke the blade while he was using it and he will remind the customer several times that he broke the blade. He broke it because he does not know how to use it. He will forget to bring the tools to to be used for the job. He had asked me to provide nails (twice), drill, broom, metal shovel to mix the cement. This will tell you how professional he is. He will quote low price (which btw is not low price) but he has has ways to add additional cost. Here is something about the quality of the job he has done: He has done a shabby job, has used improper size of the material, stones are loose, wall is cracking, I doubt the wall will last longer. He harassed us, tried to blackmail us, tried to extort money from us. He took advantage of COVID 19 situation. He knew courts are closed due to COVID 19, customers do not have many options other than get harassed by him. He and his employee do not believe in social distancing and PPEs. Every time he and his employee left they left a mess on the steps, handrails and main entrance door. I wish there is a less then one star so I can give. I have pics of the mess he left on last day he left if someone would like to see. You may want to check if he is registered with the state and what kind of license he has? He has no street number of his business on his website, all he has is street name. Very fishy!

Matthew G posed as a contractor and said that he could repair some,of my leaking windows. He took a $700 deposit.
Never returned/did work.
April 17 2020 Matthew G was given a $700 check as a deposit to seal around all the windows of my house. He never returned to do the work. I've since discovered that he is a stone mason but posed as a contractor to get the work. May

If there's one thing I will not tolerate it's lying.
Customer service and honesty has been zero from this business owner. I don't even want to give one star.
I signed a contract w/Matthew G, the owner and paid him in full for the work described in our contract. Simple small job.
Gave him the payment at 10am on a Saturday morning, which he said he would go buy materials and be back.
After 2 hours, I called and asked when we should expect him; he lied and said he was just checking out. We did not see him for another 4 hours, which he came to our house, made a bigger mess of my house and no real work done, and said he'd be back tomorrow.
Nope. Never came back. Even after several phone calls and texts promising he was on his way, he never showed up.
Matt also started blaming me for his lack of service.
I have numerous texts as proof of his lack of good customer relations, the promises and the accusations.
I have not been angry or mean in my communication, just straight forward and direct, and kept all conversations civil, but it was not easy with his lack of tact in dealing with a client.

We have gotten terrible communication and lots of excuses why he has not completed the work that was promised to be completed in 1-2 days. 4 days later, more destruction to my house than work, and no sign of a truly professional mason at all.
It was a simple small job that was in our contract that may have led to other jobs on our property, but that will not happen. Strongly recommend never using this man and this company.
The job is not done, and I'm not sure it ever will be completed by this company. I'm believing I will have to hire another true mason to fix this mess.

This company was hired to complete step repair at St. Michaels Church. He was given $$ for materials. He ignored telephone calls, and never completed work. The $ was never refunded. We had to hire a new contractor.
