Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 9, 2015/05/06) */ Contact Name and Title: [redacted] Contact Phone: XXX XXX-XXXX Contact Email: [redacted] @hotmail.com Dear Sirs, WITHOUT PREDJUDICE With regard to the complaint, I can confirm that the work was carried out to a professional standard, the initial work was carried out in [redacted] 2010, the work was satisfactory until [redacted] 2012, by then some deterioration to the surface had developed, this was reported by the client and remedial works were carried out at no cost later that summer, the geography of the site has a significant role to play on why the surface has become prematurely worn, as the driveway has a grade of over 15% this steepness lends itself to a slow entrance and a fast acceleration of driving up and down, although the tracks of where the tires travel have not shown as much deterioration as the some parts of the driveway which have large sub-base heaves from large rocks/boulders these were not part of our contract to excavate and were not present/noticeable when we worked on the driveway, there are also weeping natural spring waters under the driveway that was not present or reported to us upon taking the works on, these are acts of nature that appear like sink holes, we are not willing to carry out further works on the driveway, as any remedial works would not serve as a long term solution to the client underlying sub-base issues

work application have worked against us on numerous occasions, this has a bearing on the issues of contacting you, but certainly does not in any way excuse our service or lack there of in resolving the issue
Having only recently received the complaint through the *** which clearly points out our shortcomings, I am both angered and frustrated at how the matter has escalated unnecessarily, so I hope to bring this matter to a satisfactory conclusion very soon
Having retuned to work less than three weeks ago due to poor weather, I have been arranging our various contracts in a orderly fashion because of the later than start to the season, however due to the long wait you have encountered in order to have the micro-seal re-applied I wish to offer you an appointment at your convenience to have the work carried out, please contact me by your preferred method so we can work out a day when we can meet our commitments to you
