The seller's response is almost pure fabricationThe information in my initial complaint is completely truthful and transparent
I made full payment on this set of timpani by the end of September Mr*** informed me that they would begin working on my set as soon as possible, but that they had two sets ahead of mineI told *** that I had no problem with that time frame
In November, more than a month after making full payment on this set, I contacted *** to inquire about statusI was told that there was still other sets in front of mine, that *** needed to order a part from the manufacturer and that he was looking at a completion time by Christmas or likely before then
In December Mr*** sent me an email stating that his repair person had suffered a tragedy - the implication was that someone had been harmed in an accident but, as with other issues, *** was conveniently coy and circumspect with details - and that he would have to delay completion of my set until after his repair person came back*** told me at that time that I was looking at a mid-January completion date
Then, out of the blue, on January 3, 2016, *** sends me an email stating that the company had been "sold" and that he couldn't complete my order and he directed me to communicate with an email address
At this point, any even mildly sentient person would agree that *** was coming up with wild fabrications and excuses as to why he couldn't complete my order but he could keep my money
I sent an email to the email address he provided, but I never received a response
Sensing that *** was playing games, and, in essence, giving me a line of bt, I demanded my money backWhen I received no response, I filed a claim with Paypal
I subsequently contacted several well-trained, experienced and respected professionals who all had very similar stories to shareThese people also extended trust to *** only to receive amateur level "refurbished" instruments or they had large amounts of money stolen from them as *** took their money and then failed to provide the instruments he agreed to provide*** has left a trail of destroyed relationships in his wake and he and his "company" are bad news*** is a confirmed liar, thief and charlatan and his company is a scam
I was able to claw back some of the money I paid as it was paid via Paypal, and my credit card company is assisting with getting the remainder of my money backHowever, it remains unconfirmed as to whether I will receive full restitutionIn addition to filing a complaint with the Revdex.com, I have contacted law enforcement personnelHowever, law enforcement claims that because this is civil matter, there is nothing they can do
There are other complaints that have been filed with the Revdex.com and on Angie's List giving an almost identical account of their involvement with *** as I haveOne such person had *** tell them the exact same story, that the instruments they paid for couldn't be sent and a refund couldn't be given because the company had been sold
Mr.*** took my money and repeatedly provided an ever escalating series of excuses as to why he could keep my money but not provide the goods contracted forMr*** has a terrible reputation in the professional percussionist community as he has pulled this same kind of stunt with others
My credit card company - American Express - has backed me up and is working through the situation to obtain the remainder of my money - $
I don't want anything from *** except a full return of the money I paidPeriodHe can end this process by doing what is right and giving my money back to me
*** is a liar, charlatan and thief and other than receiving full restitution of the money I paid him, I want nothing more to do with him

As we speak I have a lawyer going through the process of legal action.   Their band director contacted me June 1st and ask about timpani.   I got him pictures of the set of 4 and he wanted them.  I showed exactly how they looked and he knew what he was getting.    Then he...

asked for extra stuff like better heads, gauges, 3rd wheels etc.     They backed out of a legal binding contact and we won't stand for this.    They owe owe us for the PO and I never asked for extra money.
