I would definitely NOT recommend this businessI commissioned an interior "barn door" to be made and provided them with hardware that I wanted to have incorporated into the doorI dealt with Michael the owner who gave me a price quote of $and told me he could have it done in approximately 1-weeks, depending on whether he could get it done before he went on vacation for spring break with his familyThis was in March and was perfectly fine with me so we left it at thatWhen a month had come and gone without hearing anything from them, I attempted to call to check on the status of the door and had to leave several voice mails before someone finally called me backThe woman who called me apologized for the delay and promised that the door would be done in approximately week on either a Friday or that following MondayTwo weeks went by and I didn't hear a word so I attempted to call again and kept getting their voicemailI left several messages over a week and a half period and no one ever called me backI kept calling and finally was able to reach the woman I had spoken to beforeI asked her what was going on and she said she didn't knowShe advised me to call Michael directly on his cell phone and I attempted to do that for a week, leaving several messages and never getting a return callI then called the shop again the next week and spoke to the woman again, telling her that I didn't know what to do at that point because she couldn't tell me what was going on and Michael wouldn't return my phone callsI told her if I couldn't get in touch with Michael I would need to come pick up my hardware so I could take my business elsewhereI left another voicemail for Michael on his cell asking him to please call me and just tell me if he could get my door done or notOnce again he never returned my call so I went to the shop to pick up my hardware the following weekWhen I walked in I saw Michael in the back and said I was there to pick up my hardware because they never got my door doneHe told me it was sitting up front and then went back to working on the project he was doingHe never apologized for not getting the door done or wasting my time, and he never offered any explanation as to why they didn't get it doneHe didn't even bother to stop what he was doing long enough to show me exactly where my hardware wasIt was completely unprofessionalI was always respectful and professional throughout the entire time including phone calls, voicemails, and in-person visits to the shopI never yelled, cursed, got nasty, etcI understand that small businesses like this can get bogged down with projects that are a lot bigger than mine, but their failure to follow through and/or just return my calls is totally unacceptableIf something happened to where they weren't going to be able to complete my project, they should have just called and told me and not left me hanging, especially since they had hardware that I owned in their possessionInstead, they wasted approximately months of my time and now I have to start all over again and find someone else who can make this door for me
