Review: My Car Honda Odessey was Towed by this company illegally. I went to Toys R us and they towed my vehicle. I dropped my wife at the Gate to go to Toys R us for shopping. I parked my vehicle in the parking lot and went to sit by the water. They towed my car which was legally parked. Their DCA # [redacted] is also expired and have no right to tow the car/

They charged me $217.50 instead of $136.50 due to the weekend and had me wait for half an hour to redeem my car. they are involved in unfair practices.Desired Settlement: I want refund of my money $217.50

Review: I am a Lowe's customer and was my vehicle was towed from the Lowe's parking lot and I was forced to pay $136.09 to get my car back.Desired Settlement: Refund of $136.09

Review: Tow the car illegally from parking lot while I was waiting in line to speak with manager regarding the order of kids party(my son's birthday in Dec/**, the exact date when it's happened) in the [redacted]branch(with kids room).

It's happened in just 5-10 minutes after I've parked my car. They came to me and asked for receipt. I told them, that I'm still waiting for my turn in the line. After, they asked for cash to be paid right away.Desired Settlement: Return the car with no charge.

Review: On Thursday July * 2013 approximately at 7:45 PM I drove into the parking lot by the mall on [redacted]. My wife and me went to the grocery store. After that we went across the street and sat on a bench waiting for firework at Coney Island. We came back approximately at 9:50 PM and we did not found our car. ?The sign on the pole was saying that this is a private parking and if the car towed away I have to call the company CUSTOM WRECKERS INC. which is operating for redemption from Monday to Friday from 10AM to 5 PM and the fine is $125. I called the company and agreed to come there, to pay my fine and get my car back, but the representative replied that I cannot get my car before Monday July *, (4 days) but there is an alternate offer - they can bring the car back immediately if I agree to pay double price $272 cash or $294 if it will be a credit card payment. I decided to have my car next morning on Friday and pay only the fine $125 according to the sign, but the representative replayed “NO” because they will be closed on Friday – he said: “only NOW and ONLY DOUBLE PRICE!”. I have a recorded proof on my iPod where the driver from towing company also clearly stated that they are not working on Friday. They put me in a position where I have no choice but to get my car for double payment. When my car was brought back to me the representative of Custom Wreckers Inc. refused to take my credit card and told me that he will tow away my car again if I will not pay cash. I had no choice but to go to ATM and get cash. This method was used also to the other people who was waiting for their cars next to me. The sign clearly stated – THE OPERATING HRS ARE FROM MONDAY TO FRIDAY. ? Next day – on Friday July*, 2013 I called Custom Wreckers Inc. few times during the day, tel. ###-###-#### and ###-###-####, and every time a representative answered the phone. It makes me aware that the company is operating on Friday. It also means that I and many other people became victims of an extortion and dirty business from Custom Wreckers Inc.Desired Settlement: Following their own rules and regulations, improve customer service, respect the customer, using courtesy, honesty and stop extorting money.

Review: Terrible day yesterday. Decided to take a ride to Kohls at ceasars bay. Parked my car in the lot..I told my daughter lets just go see whats doing on the promenade before we go in to Kohls. We really didn't expect to take so long...we were busy watching people water skiing and one guy fell into the water so of course until we saw his head pop up out of the water we didn't move..all was well. We went back to the lot and my car was towed. [redacted] yes you heard me right my [redacted] car was towed. Kohls parking lot has unbeknownst to me...[redacted] SPIES that sit in the car or should I say hide in the car and watch people. The car parked next to me was the car I saw when I parked and he popped out of there when he saw me looking for my car...he asked me..." looking for the rav4?" he tells me they towed it... I said ...did they just tow it? he said no when you parked almost an hour ago....look at the signs he tells me.... [redacted] all I can say is to my friends and anyone reading this ..don't park in the lot if you don't intend on entering the [redacted] stores immediately ......the parking lot was half empty...PLENTY of parking spots... there was no reason for this to happen....GREED is all it was about....Kohls will hear from me and that shopping mall has lost a customer. 200$ towing fees..thats money I could have spent at Kohls...[redacted] Kohls!!!..Nice beginning to my Vacation. that man that spoke to me was a partner in crime with the towing company. I think thieves have their filthy hands in this. too many people eating from the tows. now I will post the website where there are more recent same incidents like mine and my facebook account is getting filled with the same experiences. Do something please. [redacted]Desired Settlement: I want my money back. I feel like I was raped of my money. the guy was watching me the whole time I was there. he knew as soon as he saw me. Its a terrible degrading feeling. I want the money that I gave him back. 2 receipts and they charged me tax too. $200.00. Review: I was parked in the parking lot of dunk in donuts ([redacted]). I placed an order and as I went to make a payment I realized I left my wallet at the hospital which was across the street. I informed the person at the cash register and let them know that I would be right back. My friend stayed behind as I ran across the street to get my wallet. When I returned to dunk in donuts, my car had been towed. I called the number to the tow truck company that was given to me by the dunk in donuts employee. I was told that I had to pay $245.00 to get my car back. I was never given a chance to explain my self.my friend was still a customer (which I do have a receipt) and was waiting for me at dunk in donuts. My daughter called the tow truck company and asked for the name of the person to whom she was speaking to and was told to "figure it out".The entire call was recorded. My daughter informed the employee that she was recording the phone call multiple times and he still refused to state his name and continued to mock her. I then called the police to report my car stolen since I do not know who took my car or where my car is. I called the person that my daughter spoke to and asked him to return my car. He returned my car and asked me to sign a document which I was rushed to read and I couldn't understand it . I refused to sign until I fully inspected my car for any damage and before I could even finish he got back in the truck and stated " I have no time for this" and took off with my car! I chased him for half a block and he yelled out of the window if I wanted to get the car back I would now have to go and pick it up. I waited for the police to arrive. When the police came they called this man back and asked him to return the car. We waited for approximately a half hour and he never showed up. He later stated the reason he couldn't come was because his tow truck broke down.the owner of dunk in donuts was given a$1500 fine because the warning sign for towing was inconspicuous and there was only one sign. (Which there should have been two signs) I never saw the sign. I am outraged! I had to take a car service to pick up my car at their office location. I was told that I also had to pay a double fee for the car being dropped off to me (yet here I am picking up my car).they refused to take my credit card and told me that I can only pay in cash.which I have come to learn its illegal to deny a credit card! I feel like I have been humiliated and degraded in so many ways! I am a 56 year old women and have never been violated like this!! The man that was driving the tow truck has refused to give me his identity and I still do not know his name. I don't know if he is even licensed. I was dismissed immediately after making a cash payment.Desired Settlement: This company should be taken out of business. The employes should have their license (if they even have one)revoked. I would like to report this story to the news. No one should have to be humiliated and face such indecency like this. I felt as if I was robbed of my possession and my integrity!

Review: On Saturday July [redacted], 2013 I spent the day shopping with my daughter who is 9 months pregnant about to give birth at any moment and my granddaughter who is three years old. We were shopping at the Cesar’s Bay Shopping Center. I went to return a pair of pants at Kohls and then we looked around, after Kohls we went to Babies/Toys R US where we visited guest services, purchased a diaper bag, used the restroom and looked at toys. Our last receipt states that we purchased the diaper bag at 11:57 am on July [redacted]. After the purchase we went to the restroom and then my three year old granddaughter was admiring the toys. When we left the store we went to get our car and leave. We could not find it, and we thought we were losing our minds, that we must have forgotten where we parked exactly. I kept pressing the button on my keys that would start the alarm. I began freaking out thinking it was stolen, a nearby worker said to check the towing company. So I called the private towing company Custom Wreckers Inc. located at [redacted] and they had my car. I had to leave my pregnant daughter and granddaughter at the shopping center and get my car. I tried to explain I was in the stores, and they did not care they would not look at my receipts or anything they said I must have went to the nearby amusement park. This is an impossibility with the amount of time accounted for according to the receipts; the towing receipt says they took my car at 12:35pm, not to mention the fact that it was extremely hot out and my daughter was 9 months pregnant. The workers thought this was a funny matter, as I did not if there was an emergency we were stranded in that parking lot. I was forced to pay $136.09 to get my car back, and I was and still am very upset over this. I went to complain to Toys R Us and they said there is nothing they can do about it since it is a private towing company, but this was not the first complaint that they heard about from their customers. I cannot shop at these stores anymore, because I don’t feel that my car is safe. I also believe that this is a scam that they are running as many customers that day were complaining.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund as I have all my receipts stating I was shopping.

Review: Upon research on the company, it shows they do not have a license to tow vehicles. On November [redacted], this company towed my vehicle from El Greco Diner parking lot, located at [redacted]. On top of illegally towing my vehicle without a license, they severely damaged the body of my vehicle.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the towing bill, totaling 136.09 and the damages to the car paid for.

Review: My Truck was towed by Custom Wreckers Inc. on June **,2013.I found out who the towing company was on June [redacted].I called to inquire as to the charges for release of my vehicle on July **.I was given another number to call [redacted].The party on the phone informed me that a $185.00 towing fee plus $45 a day storage the fee for release.Since the tow he never gave me an amount but by his own figures it would have been $680.00.I asked where the truck was being held.He then stated "I gotta see if I can release it to you, I'll call you back" He never did. I called again and got the same reply,"I have someone call you back",No one ever did.I never received a total cost or was given the location of my Truck or the location to retrieve my tools,equipment important papers and vehicle records.I believe the Stall is intentional to take possession of the Truck after 30 days on July **,2013.I visited the location on the Towing ticket # [redacted] on the [redacted].of June and July **. and my Truck was not there or anyone to talk to.This Towing Co. has numerous complaints when searched online and has changed their name when operating under prior Towing companies.It is not just Predatory Towing, It is Theft. I don't believe this issue can be resolved by the Revdex.com I will hire a lawyer who will File a Claim against the Private community for the tow. I just want to add my complaint to the long list of people who have been victimized by Custom Wreckers Inc.Thank You.Desired Settlement: An Explanation of why this company 1. Towed my Truck, 2. Failed to contact me about the Tow or why they have the legal right to hold my property and refused to release to me and failed to contact me. 3. Why they did not disclose the location of the vehicle and allow me to retrieve my tools, equipment, records,vehicle registration and documents as N.Y.S. law provides.
