I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
The proposed resolution would not effectively cover the cost of out of pocket expenses I incurredThe expenses that I incurred as a result of LakeSide Pointe failing to meet the terms of our proposed agreement were the $in money order fees and $spent to overnight my RTA formThe $would be a refund of the application fee: a separate compensatory obligationI would like the total of $61.90, as requested in my original complaint

I apologize for the delay in answering your complaint dated 05/21/14. I researched the complaint and found that

5/17/Ms*** visited the site and liked apartment ***. She paid her holding fee of $100. At that time the apartment was going to be ready for an inspection on 5/25/
5/19/A water leak was discovered in *** that caused extensive damage
5/20/We received Ms*** RTA via express mail and called her to let her know we received it but that the apartment she had been assigned was not going to be ready by the 5/25/inspection date needed for a section inspectionWe did not have another unit that fit her requirements that was going to be ready in the timeframe needed for her inspection. Her holding fee was returned to her on 5/20/
The $application fee is used to cover the cost of the credit and criminal background check that we run. The application fee is normally a non-refundable fee. I have processed paperwork to have Ms*** application fee of $refunded to help cover the cost of the out of pocket expenses she incurred

This is by FAR the WORST property I've ever lived inEvery part is *** poorMaintenance, grounds, apartment interior, some of the staff, the parking lot etcThere's pot holes galore, I've been there almost a year and my air conditioner didn't work and it still isn't working nowFences are torn down, hot water heaters are laid outside of someone's apartment and nothing is keptThe have very poor standards no wonder I passed up this apartment beforeThey said I was getting a good apartment they lied it was mold in my dishwasher, there was a huge hole in my cabinet underneath because of how the stove needed to be installed I guessEverything is shabbyIt's the pits it takes forever to get things fixed and their policies only work for themThey are never concerned when the consumer is inconveniencedI hate everything about this company regardless to new management or not

Before moving into Lakeside Pointe At Nora I made it clear what was most important to me what I wanted and needed the apartmentOnce approved and a unit was selected for me I tried and tried on several occasions to schedule a time to look at the townhome before I moved in and there would always be an excuseAnd I always asked to speak to Daisy the leasing agent that assisted me from the beginningShe would always have an excuse, such as, other tenants moving in and it seems they were scheduled to come in when I wanted to see the place, or they would NEVER, hardly EVER answer the phone there, then it would be they are painting or putting in my new stove and fridge and or cleaning the carpet but when I moved in the carpet was not clean, the place did not smell clean or like anyone painted, horrible squeaking floors everywhere upstairs, stair rail was loose, patio concrete uneven, patio door would not lock, and the bathroom was dirty and disgustingWhen I called about that Lakeside Pointe about the broken lock on the patio door they told me to use the "jimmy bar" and I should be okI have kids and safety is a MUSTAlso, I requested washer and dryer connection, there was a washer connection but no dryer connectionWhen I informed them of not having a dryer connection they just entered my townhome, without giving me a heads up and from what it looks like, the maintenance guy just kicked a whole in the wall and took some aluminum, rolled it up the size of the hole in the wall, stuck it in the hole and connected my dryer to itIn addition, they left a mess, and dirty foot prints on the floor from the entry way into the kitchenA DISGUSTING MESS!!!! Have witnesses and photosThe new stove head was covering one of the electrical sockets in the kitchen, cabinet doors were uneven making them not close properly and one eventually came off the henge!!!!!!!!!! To my knowledge there has been a person found dead in her apartment on the propertyThere would be trash on the ground around the dumpster instead of in the EMPTY dumpsterAlso, the front office workers will tell you one thing and change it to something else to benefit them or to keep them from loosing moneyThey also do what they can to get money out of youI was told a couple different deposit amounts to bring in before I could move in, so I confirmed with Daisy, wrote it down when and what I asked her, and what her response was and it seems when confronted with it, it doesn't matterthere is a lot more I could do on and on about but I am not sure of the word count on here but I save the best for last...Lakeside Point At Nora has roaches galore!!!!! I was off work the day they said they have the apartments sprayedI saw the guy come out of my neighbors townhome and that was itI thought he was coming for me next but nope!! watched him get in his truck and pull off...so I called the office and once again I had called several times and no answer, all the way up until closing time, no answerThis place is by far the worst living experience I have ever hadI could have stayed where I was before moving there, at lease they were professional and clean and had no roaches or bugs of any kindThis property needs to be torn down!!!!!
