Review: We had our house resided by [redacted] Sons Remodeling in September 2014. We have two issues remaining on the work which one of t[redacted] of the firm ([redacted]) said would be fixed by Friday, March **, 2015. No one came to our house to address the problems or called to say when they would come. The problems are: 1. the strapping for the leaders (on the gutter system installed by his firm) are coming apart at one location; 2. In re-installing an electrical outlet on the back side of the house, one of his workers was hammering away for a long time. This caused a radiator on the inside wall to bow out approximately 3" away from the wall in my kitchen. This was not noticed until late February because the radiator is behind a breakfast nook.

Note that we have had significant problems with this firm during our relationship with them. Because of that, I would not recommend that anyone consider using this firm unless you are prepared to deal with problems such as:

-Whenever a problem needed to be addressed, it involved a minimum of four phone calls to [redacted] to get him to take any action.

-[redacted] does not supervise his workers, he leave that responsibility to his customers, he generally shows up to collect the periodic payments, stays for a few minutes and then leaves.

-We were told that the workers would thoroughly clean up the debris after each days work, in fact, I was picking up pieces of debris (nails, bits of old siding, cigarette butts [neither my wife or I smoke]) for months afterward.

-During the job, one of his trucks deposited debris from another job on our back driveway and left it there for 4 days, thereby ruining the grass on the driveway median strip. I was told that they needed the truck for another purpose and could not get rid of the debris until the end of the week.

-They strip off the siding and then there was a forecast of significant rain the next day. His workers had not properly covered the openings to the attic, so I had to get out my ladder in the rain storm and cover the holes with tarp myself to prevent damage to my house.

-Several things that his workers did had to be redone because they were improperly done in the first place (rewiring an outlet in the back, siding on the back of the house, reinstalling the house numbers in the front of the house).Desired Settlement: I want the two issues I identified corrected:

1. The strapping on the leader repaired.

2. The radiator in the kitchen repositioned properly.

We at [redacted] sons remodeling are beyond shocked about this complaint. We completed [redacted] siding 6 months ago and everything was and has been fine up until one week ago. We received an email regarding the 2 minor repairs that needed to be addressed. We emailed him back saying by the end of the week we will come by to take a look at damage. He had told us to come by and fix it and sent us pictures. We said we will be there by the end of the week. It was scheduled for Saturday march [redacted]. However the weather did not cooperate with us so once we got into the office we emailed [redacted] and told him today Monday march [redacted] we will be there in the afternoon to make repairs. The men were there today and met with [redacted] and made the 2 minor repairs which took 20 minutes. The reason we are confused to the complaint is if [redacted] was so unhappy with our workmanship and the way we operated then why would he re hire us a month later to do another $8,000.00 renovation on his house. He must have liked they way we worked the first time in order to rehire us again to come back. So as of today Monday march [redacted] the repairs have been made and [redacted] is happy.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The current issues have been resolved. There is no dispute there. But when they say "they were shocked" they are being disingenuous because I have complained to the owner of the business several times about the quality of their work. I have threatened in the past to file a complaint with Revdex.com on several occasions. The only reason I allowed [redacted] to do the roof is because it was a simple one-day job and they were familiar with the issues on the roof. Aside from that, I would not have used them to change a light bulb.
