I am rejecting this response because: I obviously don't have a stylist in town yetI told the employee I wanted a spiral permShe said she could use different rodsI asked if it would still look like a spiral perm cause If not I would go somewhere elseShe said the rod didn't matter it was the way it needed to be wrapped and she could do a spiral perm without the spiral rodBeing that she was a professional I said okay and trusted her being that hair is suppose to be her expertiseObviously I was lied toI did not wash my hair at all and went in the next day to show the supervisor how it lookedIt was not curly like I had askedThis response has not at all address what really happenedI deserve a refundI was mislead and put my trust in the wrong personThis response just goes to show how badly this business is ran, by their refusal to give a refund

The tightness (size of curl) depends on the rod being usedThe bigger the rod, the bigger the curl (wavy)The longer the hair the more you need a bigger rod to get all the hair on the rodA spiral is very long so you can wrap a lot of hair on a small diameter rod (tighter curl)The longer the hair, the more weight pulls the curl down stretching the curlIt is advisable to trim your hair after a perm it help with the weight

Review: I went into this establishment to get a spiral perm. I've have had them previously, and I know how well my hair does with them. It had been some time since my last one, and the lady who did my hair was really nice; and I really enjoyed her company. When my hair was finished I thought maybe it didn't look super curly like it was supposed to cause it was went, and very long. I asked the woman who had done my hair why it wasn't very curly. She said when it starts to dry it will lift. Against my instincts, I said okay. She was the professional, and I am not a confrontational person. When my hair was dry nothing had changed. Everyone I ran into that I knew asked me if I had braided my hair to get the wavy look. That's how "not" curly it was. I was upset and asked for a refund. I felt lied to. It was suggested I cut my hair to maybe try and help lift it. I refused. I talked to other licensed beauticians and through my conversations with them I confirmed that it shouldn't be necessary to cut my hair. I asked for a refund and was told to call back when the supervisor got in. When I came in to talk to her in person. I was told it was up to the corporation to get a refund and I wrote out my complaint. I called again, and she said it was up to the owner, that he had taken my information and he would call me. I called again, and again with no reply from the owner. When you spend $100 on your hair, it should look so good it would be hard to pry yourself out of the mirror cause you love it so much. I got my hair permed July 2nd. I still have yet to get a refund, or hear back from anyone regarding my situation. I am unsatisfied, to say the least. I have contacted them many times, and to top it off my hair has fallen out almost completely and is now almost straight.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of $100.

As I understand it, Ms. [redacted] came in looking for a spiral perm. The stylist told her she didn't do spirals. Ms [redacted] was a walk-in and didn't want to come back. Why didn't she go to her stylist? Ms. [redacted]'s has long hair and she has had perms before, therefore she should have known the difference. The stylist ended up perming Ms. [redacted]'s hair after telling it's not going to be a spiral. According to Ms. [redacted], her her was wavy not spiral (curly).

It is advisable to trim your hair after a perm it help with the weight.
