Review: I paid [redacted] several deposits for several jobs he was to perform on a couple of my properties. He never showed to perform the work and gave me paperwork on how he was going to pay back the deposit money. He has been scamming and putting me off now for over 2 years and I have lost patience with his lies. He owes me just over $15k (it was higher but he has given me a few hundred here and there over the last few years). To make this worse, he was my neighbor when I lived on [redacted] and our sons grew up together.

This seems to be a common theme with this man and I don't understand why he is allowed to continue to operate as a business scamming the general public. The net is filled with complaints and 7 on your side even did an episode on him helping a women get back her deposit for work never completed. He runs a cash business and I am sure isn't paying taxes on that money so he isn't just scamming the general public he is scamming the US Government as well.Desired Settlement: [redacted] has the responsibility to pay back what is not his to keep; $15,000 in cash just as quickly as it was given to him.

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Cut-Rite Complete Landscaping regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I am being told he same story I've heard for 3 years now... "I am trying to pay you but business is slow due to the cold weather, my truck is down and I don't have a backup, we have had too much snow, we are finishing up a job this week and should get paid, etc. etc. etc.

On a positive note, we agreed on the total amount he owes me and will continue from there. He has paid me dribs and drabs over the past few years and has whittled down the total amount due to me to about $12,000.00.

Why a business that continually dupes the public and scams people of their money remains in business for years is beyond me. Eyewitness news, 7 on your side, even did a thing on this business and he attributes it to a misunderstanding. The only misunderstanding is in the mind of [redacted] in that he believes he has the ability to scam people out of money and keep it. A very odd behavior...

What I also believe is that he is duping the government as well with the cash he collects as part of doing business but that is a completely different issue for a different organization.

Review: I purchased 1 cord of "seasoned" firewood on 1/**/16 from cut-rite landscaping and what was delivered was fresh cut firewood. I have approximately 700 pieces of unburnable firewood piled up around my house. I also had to move all this wood by myself. Unseasoned firewood is much heavier then seasoned and I'm a female. The entire load is not useable. I spoke to the driver and he promised me if I have any problems the company would come right back and redeliver new wood. I have been calling for days and they have had one excuse after another as to why they can not return. I did my research after I realized they scammed me and found pages of consumers stating they have been scammed by this same company for thousands of dollars worth of bad work or no shows on projects, etc. I wish I had done my research first. Also I attempted to try burning the wood in my fireplace the night I received it and my entire house stinks so bad from the smell I may have to hire a clean up company to come in and do a professional cleaning to remove the odor.Desired Settlement: I would like a cash refund of the $160 I paid for the firewood.
