Review: On Thursday November 14th, Cuthberts installed a wood stove which vented to the exterior via a stainless steel pipe. We agreed that the vent pipe would proceed straight up the house and above the roof line. They made a measurement error and to correct it, without my consent and with no discussion, they installed an extra piece of angled pipe in order to proceed above the roof line then attached it to the house with what looks like scrap metal. I feel the proper way would have been to remove some of the soffit so that the pipe would have proceeded straight above the roof line. I would have been happy to renegotiate the price but instead I had to pay extra for piping that I didn't even want. I guess this was the easiest way for him to complete the job. I made the final payment in person on Friday November 15th and complained the office manager and she said I would receive a call the next day. I received no call and now realize that I never will since they received full payment.Desired Settlement: It would be nice if I could be refunded the price of the extra piping I didn't want and for them to find a roofing contractor that is willing to do the required work to modify the soffit so the flue can pass straight through above the roof line like I requested.
