Derek took excellent care of my Road King for me. I needed the rear tire replaced, a 3 hole service and a couple accessories installed. Not only did he get everything done professionally, but also very quickly. While he had the rear wheel off, he discovered that I needed rear brake pads. He had them in stock and saved me time and money by catching that and replacing them so that my bike would be road ready and safe. Motorcycle shops are extremely busy this time of year due to it being riding season. He’s currently the only one running the shop, so give him some grace with time. However, he knocked my services out very quickly and did a great job. I will continue to do business with Derek and I recommend everyone else in the area to give him a shot. Thanks again, Derek!

I had engine work done on a motorcycle by [redacted] from Cutter's custom cycles on Feb. 21, 2011. After riding the motorcycle for 45 minutes after the work was completed the same problem occured as before it was fixed. I took the motorcycle back ~ early 2012 to Cutter's custom cycles and explained the situation. I was told they would look at it and get back with me. After ~ 2 months had passed, I never received any update on the motorcycle so I called Cutter's custom cycles and spoke with [redacted]. He told me he had not had time to look at it yet but he would get back with me. I never received a call back from [redacted] to this date. I never received a work order for approval, either by mail, e-mail or phone call. I went back to Cutter's Custom Cycles on 4/10/2015 to find out what was going on with the motorcycle. I was told that the motorcycle no longer belongs to me because I "abandoned it". I explained that I never received a call back on what was wrong with the motorcycle and I assumed it was under warranty from the previous work done to it. On 4/10/15, I was told by [redacted] that he had spoken with my son while I was out of state. [redacted] said he was told by my 16 year old autistic son that he was the owner of the motorcycle. I was never aware of this conversation between [redacted] and my son until the date I went to pick up my unrepaired motorcycle. I still don't know what the conversation between the two was about. I was always available by cell phone to be reached by [redacted] but he felt that the conversation he had with my son, an autistic minor and not the owner of the motorcycle, was sufficient enough to explain what was wrong with the motorcycle and how to proceed with it. I am now told by Cutter's Custom Cycles that they have taken possession of my motorcycle because "I abandoned it and I don't have any rights to it anymore". This motorcycle has only been ridden 3 times since I purchased it. Once in late 2010 and a second time in JanuarDesired SettlementReturn my property.Business Response On May 28, 2011, The Customer brought a [redacted] dirt bike to be repaired at Cutters Custom Cycles, motorcycle repair shop. Cutters Customs Cycles repaired the motorcycle by rebuilding the top-end of the engine. This rebuild included changing the oil in the engine. The motorcycle was ridden and tested before returning to the customer. On June 13, 2011, The Customer received possession of the motorcycle after paying his bill of $550.00. The Customer called 6 months later and informed us that the motorcycle was smoking after only riding for 45 minutes in the last 6 months. I want to make note at this time that [redacted] does NOT give a warranty on NEW dirt bikes. We stand behind our work and told The Customer to return the dirt bike to the shop so we cold analyze the problem. On August 17, 2012, fourteen (14) months after receiving the dirt bike from the original repair, The Customer brought the dirt bike back to Cutters Custom Cycles. The dirt bike was in very bad disrepair and very muddy on the outside. Mud was also found in the air-box and intake tract. The steering bearings were frozen and the bike was very difficult to turn. At this time we did not determine why the bike was smoking. However, this was NOT the condition that we gave the dirt bike to The Customer on June 13, 2011. The Customer requested that we determine what the smoking problem was with the bike. We removed the cylinder and found sever damage to the rings and inside walls of the cylinder caused by water and mud. The Customer "s son called to find out what was wrong with the bike. We explained the details of the damage and explained that we were not responsible for the damage and the cost of repair would be in $500.00 to $600.00. Two weeks passed and we heard again from The Customer 's son. His son intimated that they were having financial problems. We told him that we had $100.00 in the bike for disassembly and estimate and the bike was ready for pick-up.One year later in 2014 we repaired the abandoned motorcycle and brought it back to working order, It is important to note, the motorcycle is a dirt bike and therefore NOT titled. The total cost to clean and repair the bike came to $1250.00.On April 10, 2015, The Customer came to the shop to pick-up his motorcycle. We gave The Customer a 90 day grace period and then started charging storage fees of $5.00 a day. The total number of days that we charged for storage is 874 days as of April 10, 2015. The total for the storage and invoice is $5620.00. Cutters Customs Cycle pays a lease for the use of the facility that we occupy. After 90 days, Cutters Customs charges storage fees for abandoned vehicles. Even if I cut the cost of storage in half ($2.50) the total charges come to $3435.00.1. The Customer can pay $3,435.00 for repair and storage fees. (1/2 the cost of normal storage fee)2. The Customer can turn the bike over to Cutters Customs LLC and sign a bill of sale.
