Cutting Edge was very happy to have installed a beautiful concrete floor coating for Mr. [redacted] and found it quite disturbing that Mr. [redacted] had made the exaggerated statements he has....

All of the work was done in a very thorough and professional manner, and
Cutting Edge was very attentive to every request made Mr. [redacted].
Unfortunately, it has been discovered from Mr. [redacted]s own admittance, that he has been holding back information about some type of plumbing problems that he never disclosed and never had repaired.
Without insulting Mr. [redacted], he was heavily advised to investigate and fix the problems he has.
Mr. [redacted] also admitted that he wrote the viscous statements to the Revdex.com in frustration, and that he would go back and edit them.
Cutting Edge has always stood behind their products and workmanship and will continue to do so.
The plumbing problem is not something Cutting Edge can be responsible for. We will be happy to help Mr. [redacted] with the maintenance of his floor, after he fixes all of the problems he has at his home.
Sincerely,
Cutting Edge Decorative Concrete
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 14, 2015/12/08) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Please see the bottom for a suggested way to cut everyone's losses.
In response: We were hoping that Greg would at least try to see that his foreman could have made a mistake. He has not. We also requested that he confirm that there was a major project with time constraints happening at the same time; he has yet to respond. Finally, there are misstatements in Greg's response that simply put, are inaccurate.
We found a slightly sagging outlet pipe in May, 2 months after install. There was no "admittance" to holding back information since it is both irrelevant and discovered months afterward (3 basement specialists said that it is so minor that it will not cause a chronic, wet basement problem and they wouldn't bother fixing it in their own homes). This was also clarified on the phone to Greg, however despite that, he stated it here.
I also admitted to "frustration" in not getting a response after calling multiple times over the course of weeks on several occasions since we started working with them in March, but I contended that my statements were based in fact of events, not colored with descriptive adjectives like "viscous". After re-reading the statements, they're reflect fairly how we were told one thing by the foreman that differs in what he told Greg.
The problem is we DID call 2 different basement specialist as Greg advised, however when BOTH confirmed we have NO WATER PROBLEM. Greg said he disagrees and won't give us "one thin dime". We found that problematic since it was his ideam, and we felt it was an insensitive, unprofessional response to a +$5,000 bust of a project.
We have an explanation on the liquid. The areas where we have bubbles discharge a thin, black liquid and is EXACTLY where the foreman could not remove the old mastic. He admitted to not being able to get it all off because of porous concrete. If there was a major water problem, why is it bubbling up ONLY where the mastic was in what looks like liquefied mastic? Why isn't it anywhere else on the floor? Would the owner be willing to refund our money 100% if we could get a test confirming the liquid is mastic? That would prove our assertion.
Suggested Resolution: Regrettably, after reading his response, we believe that Greg has been unable consider our side. We would like to move on from this and just say good people couldn't reconcile a disagreement. We propose cutting the losses into 3: Cutting Edge, Sherwin Williams & Home Owner.

Mr. [redacted],
Cutting Edge is not trying to win an argument here. We had hoped we could help you with a problem observed at your home. That's it.
The owner of Cutting Edge, Mr. Gregory M[redacted], told you in person when he drove to your home, that Cutting Edge would be happy to help you with the repairs to your floor FOR FREE, even though there was an unrelated water issue causing the problem. That is exactly the information relayed to you from the Revdex.com.
But you first need to investigate all of the items contributing to your WATER PROBLEM and then fix them.
Sincerely,
Cutting Edge Decorative Concrete
