INCOMPETENT UNTRUSTWORTHY COMPANY! days ago I contacted Cutting Edge Glass because the skylight they had performed work on was leaking and causing problemsI was told by office personnel that they would have to pull the file to see if it was still under warrantyI provided information for her to pull the filedays later I had not heard back from herI called them to see how progress was going thinking maybe they had lost my numberWhich I found out today was not the case the owner told me "I googled your number to find out what state it was from and their is a Cutting Edge Glass in that state too but I did recognized the address"But still had not called to me back at that time I guess googling was more important than taking care of a customer
When I reached office personnel on day I was told how busy they had been that they had started looking for the paperwork but had not found it yetI asked when a reasonable amount of time would be to expect a call backI was told they would do it that afternoon or tomorrowI asked if I don't hear from you in days is it okay to call back then? I was assured I would receive a call back by end of day tomorrowdays later no callAt this point in time I started realizing this was unreliable companyDay I called mid morning to see what's going onOffice personnel informed me of her personal life happenings (I really didn't need to know) that morning and said she had the paperwork (an invoice) on the owner's desk for him to reviewThat they were on their way back from a job down south but would contact me that dayShe stressed I would heard back that dayguess what? SURPRISE NO CONTACT! I called and left a voicemail explaining how unhappy I was and felt I was getting the run aroundI got a call back days later and was asked again for contact information so they could pull invoice that I was told had already been pulledmy next indication this was incompetent and untrustworthy company! But, I've had employees who lie to try and cover their mistakes so I was still willing to give the owners the benefit of the doubtMaybe they didn't know they had incompetent office personnelOwners finally come out to look at skylight they informed me they had sealed with black tar around the window when they installed itHe got on the roof to look at skylight and said "nope this is new roof we didn't do sealing on this roof it's the roofers fault" I explained to them roof had been done in they said they had done sealing in I could tell by his demeanor and attitude I was getting now whereThat they were just trying to pass the buck on (like office personnel had) since I purchased the home in and they were trying to take advantage of that So, I purposefully asked "when this comes back that roof was done in then will you fix this?" The blank stare and stammering for an answer explained that the Owners were just as incompetent and untrustworthy as the office personnelI was able to verify within a few hours that the roof had been replaced in and I stopped by Cutting Edge Glass office to get copy of their invoice (which they had "happened" to not bring with them earlier that day) showing they had done work in March of I ran into the Owner outside and explained the roof had been done in and since they were the last ones to touch it and had admitted earlier that day to sealing it they needed to fix itHe then (as I expected) changed his story and started saying he was not a roofer he didn't know how to fixI said but earlier you said you sealed itHe said "yes" I said "then you can seal it correctly again" He kept saying he wasn't a roofer and wasn't sure how to fix itI told him nevermind I don't trust you and don't want you on my propertyI don't trust them to do a professional job and feel they would just make the situation they created worse
I wonder if they NOW say they are not roofers then why THEN where they playing roofer and doing things they shouldn't? I understand I now live in a small town and word of mouth is best way to help others not pick an incompetent untrustworthy company! I hope this review helps others
