We had our roof in the western communities near Victoria redone in The cost then was ca $30, We were promised a year warranty When the work was being done, the slick well clad salesman was replaced by Filipino crews who [redacted] did not speak English so it was not possible to find out about their qualifications Soon after it was finished, we discovered that large holes had been left open allowing rats to get into the attic That was soon repaired Next we found that large amounts of water had leaked in through the roof all the way into the basement That was repaired but now we were asked to waive the right to any further claims as a condition for the repairs Unfortunately, we signed Later other repair people pointed out many shortcomings of the workmanship, such as insufficient space under the ridge vents, effectively sealing off the roof without ventilation, missing diversions so water would not hit the soffits, etc The worst were shoddy flashing around sky lights which caused water leaking in We tried numerous times to resolve these problems until we finally decided to bite the bullet and redo the whole roof again, years after it had been done previously [redacted]
