Cyber Depot Reviews (5)

I took my iPhone 6 to have the screen replaced and twice within a month the screen separated from the phone. They use cheap products and their technicians must need more training. The only good part of the experience was that they refunded my money, no questions asked. Which kind of alerted me to the fact that they know their products are cheap.

Review: I was told that a computer I was buying was able to play video games. However when I got home and connected the computer up to run it would not run video games. I had an expert on computers look at the computer and he said the power pack was to small to run video games. The power pack is only 160W barely enough to run the i3 mother board, and there is no video card in the computer at all. He also noticed the hard drive was not working properly, said it sometimes would not read. The other complaint is about the price. It was listed for 499.00 for the tower, keyboard, mouse, and monitor. We asked for a better monitor and the price was 20.00 more making the price 519.00. However when we looked at the price we were charged it said 575.00. So, we were over charged as well as cheated about the products capabilities.

I had to buy a new power pack 750W and a video card, and will soon need a new hard drive. These costs are about 425.00.

I made a dispute claim with the credit card company which did not go in my favor because in the fine print was (no returns). So, I will have to pay for the computer, and all the updates it will take to make it work. This will cost me 700.00 for a computer valued at 499.00.Desired Settlement: If I can not return the falsely advertised product I would like to at least have a reduction made in the price I payed Cyber Depot. They advertised a computer that was to be able to play video games. But, was clearly not able to do so. The price that I feel the computer was worth, would be, around 150.00-200.00. If this adjustment could be made I would feel satisfied.

Review: On Thursday October 30, 2014 I took my 64GB AT&T Cellular iPad in for a repair at Cyber Depot. I had a headphone stem break off and stick inside the audio jack. Cyber Depot said it was a simple repair and since I us** it for work presentations, they said they could replace the audio jack and repair it quickly for me for the following Monday/Tuesday. When I call** about the status, they said they ordered the wrong part and had to wait on another to arrive. After a few days I receiv** a phone call at 10PM from the owner of Cyber Depot, [redacted], explaining to me that during the repair of the audio jack, his technician broke my logic board and rendering it useless. They were going to need to replace the logic board as well along with the audio jack. The next day, I called Cyber Depot and talk** to the owner about a replacement iPad since there was so much to repair. He thought it was a wiser choice and said he was busy and would call me later to discuss. After over a week of unreturned phone calls from Cyber Depot, I decided to stop in. I spoke with ** about the replacement idea again because he "couldn't recall all of our conversation." Still he thought it was a good idea and he was going to check with his apple rep on a replacement price. Three weeks of unreturned phone calls and a couple of visits to the store where I "just missed him" has been the story. He had meetings with lawyer to attend and call me back. He had a funeral to attend and would call me back. No calls returned. I had one last conversation with him after the Thanksgiving holiday where he said he knew what I wanted to do about the situation but the "holidays were here and that was a lot of money". I tried December 6 to get a phone call from him. The lady on the phone knew of me and promised a call to resolve that day. Again nothing. So I took my operational (except for audio jack) iPad in for repair that has resulted in further damage, rendering it useless with no repair and no replacement.Desired Settlement: I want compensation to replace my iPad. Apple has a refurbish/certified site where you can see how much it would cost to replace. For my exact model, 64GB AT&T Cellular iPad, it would cost me $409 plus tax. I would like Cyber Depot to give me compensation towards a replacement. I do not want Cyber Depot involved with the replacement process. I do not trust this business any longer. I just want compensation for the replacement.

Review: I purchased a laptop computer from them 6 months ago. The owner assured that he knew the person that traded the computer in and that it was nearly new and in perfect condition. The computer started shutting down randomly, so I took it to get checked. the technician told me the mother board was fried and would provide no assistance to repair it, but told me that if it had been him he would have sold me a New computer, not a used one. He also charged me $80.00 for looking at it. He said it burnt out because of where I used it, I explained that it is in the exact same place as I had my old computer and never had a problem. I do not believe that if this computer was in the condition that the owner assured me it was, that it would have completely died with in the first 6 months with the amount of time I use it. Obviously there was a problem with it when I purchased it. I was also never given the CD for the operating system, so I have to believe it was a bootlegged copy.Desired Settlement: I would ask for a replacement or repair, but I really do not want to do business with this company ever again. At the very minimum I should be refunded the $80.00 the tech charged. Ideally I should be refunded the $80.00 plus most of the purchase price since the computer was purchased only 6 months ago.

Review: I dropped my computer off 8 days ago at this business to be repaired. I've called 6 times since to find out how much it would cost to fix and how long it would take. No one would call me back or give me a straight answer. A few days ago the tech I spoke to said it would probably be done on the 3rd and it would be about $125. The owner finally called me back today and said it wasn't even started yet and that it would be $575. When I said I looked up the parts cost online and they only cost $35 max, I said I couldn't understand why it would be so much and that I couldn't afford that and he screamed at me to come pick it up and hung up on me.Desired Settlement: I don't know what can be done about this? There are terrible reviews and complaints about this business all over the internet. I am disgusted and extremely upset at the horrible customer service, disrespect and terrible practices of this business. I hope someone can help or do something about this?!
