Review: We do not believe that this company is real. They don't appear to be from this country even though they claim to be. The man on the phone says horrible things and even crashed the computer from his computer. He called saying that he was selling software to protect the computer. My mother [redacted], fell for this scam and now all of her personal information and identity has been jeopardized. He laughed an evil laugh at us and told us we had angered him and that he was going to crash our computer and then he did. He told us the [redacted] worked for him. He then threatened to do things to our mothers. He was very ugly in his treatment of his supposed customers.Desired Settlement: We would like to see this company not be able to call people in their homes get into their computers and crash them. This is costing us a lot of money now that the computer is crashed. It has a special appointment to get fixed and that will cost money. We would like some reimbursement for the money that he caused us to spend because he crashed the computer.

Response:

At this time, I have not been contacted by Cyber Support regarding complaint ID [redacted].

Sincerely,

Review: Last night, I received a phone call from this company. They said that our License Key from [redacted] expired in June and that our computer was infected with DNS virus and that it was going to crash. They stated they work with Windows and [redacted] They showed me things on my computer that seemed to back up their claims. I was concerned, let them have control of the computer, and allowed them to install a number of applications. I paid them $130 with a credit card.

After getting off the phone, I double-checked some of their info and was unable to contact them. I investigated more online and found that there have been scams of this kind. Feeling like I had been scammed, I called the police and made a report. I spoke to [redacted] and they helped me get the applications off the computer. I also cancelled my credit card, but the payment had already gone through.

Today, the company called me. I told them I wanted to cancel. They refused to cancel and/or refund my money. They said since I authorized the service and payment, I was not due a refund and that if I continued to seek one out, it would wind up costing me $2000.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund in cash. I am afraid their check would bounce and I do not want them accessing any of my credit card info.

Review: I emailed Cyber Support and told them I was dissatisfied with their service and wanted to discontinue their service. Here is the email that I sent them:

Gentlemen:

I signed up for your Life Time Support on May **, 2013. That I understand from your literature “life time” means only service for a period of five years. I paid you the amount of $300 for this service. That amounts to $60 per year.

The reasons for my cancellation of your support is:

1. So many times I call you with a problem and you say that it is not applicable to your services and tell me to go to someone else.

2. I discussed with you for me to upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 7 and you said you would help me. When I called for help you said why did I do that and told me to wait until Windows XP support stopped. You were very inconsiderate of my problem. I went to a third party that is similar to your service for $49 and they straightened me out.

3. I cannot understand your technicians. They do not speak good English. That is a major problem.

They immediately called me and said their will be no refund. I asked them why. They told me in a very unprofessional way, that's the way it was. The main reason for this complaint is I just don't want to see someone else get scammed by these people.

The form has my wrong town and state. It is: [redacted]. I could not edit it.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of four years service of the amount of $240 for the unused portion.
