Cycle Werks

I took my motorcycle to this shop to have some simple repairs performed which should have only taken less than a day. In fact I was told that it would only take approximately four hours. This work was just simple up-keep...oil change, fluids checked, spark plugs, etc. I didn't need to pick back up the bike for a day or two so I didn't expect them to rush it. I pre-paid for the services based off of the invoice I signed and agreed to with the owner. After a couple days go by I come back to pick up my motorcycle & the work had not even been started. I was given a series of excuses. At this time I had considered just asking for my money back and taking it somewhere else, but I decided to give the owner the benefit of the doubt so I did that. The weekend was coming up so I gave them more time. The following Friday I came by assuming for sure at this point they had my motorcycle for over 10 business days. My bike still was not started or completed but was in pieces so I couldn't even drive it away. After several weeks I became increasingly angry & felt very taken advantage of. The owner is completely unprofessional & after I finally received my motorcycle the work listed on the work order was either not done as well as some of the old parts that were suppose to be changed out were still the old ones left on there. After I just took my motorcycle back and had decided to consider it a loss & never ever go back there for any work I needed done I had put the situation behind me until the owner had the audacity to call me over a month later saying I still had a balance. I was completely shocked & was sure he was calling the wrong person. To my amazement he had not mistaken which client he was calling and the balance he says was still owed was over three times what I had already pre-paid him. This is the most insane experience I have ever had & when I went down there to discuss what was going on I waited outside the garage door while I overheard another customer & someone else discussing how to complete insurance fraud successfully. At this point it all made sense... the shop is full of motorcycles that just sit there so you would think that they were busy doing good work and full of business, but after asking around in the motorcycle community I have heard nothing but negative experiences by anyone that knew of the owner & the shop. A couple people had the same experience I did & one that I heard of was even worse than mine & explained terrible things that go on there at that shop & the most unprofessional business I have ever experienced. I would never recommend this shop to anyone! Consumers beware.
