November 7, 2016 Dear [redacted];This letter is in response to a complaint submitted to Revdex.com regarding my company J Conley & Sons, Inc. ID #[redacted].There are many false statements in the complaint and the following is my version of what happened. On December 2&, 2105,1T along with [redacted]...

[redacted] of [redacted] Plumbing & Heating (Media, PA) met at [redacted] Tile store, Media, PA in regards to a separate business client with [redacted], the owner of [redacted] Tile). While we were at the store we met [redacted] who was complaining to [redacted] about the contractor she had working at her house.[redacted] introduced us to [redacted] and [redacted] asked us to help her out. She needed water lines capped so she could have a sink removed & counter top templates made. Since [redacted] is a business colleague of [redacted]'s, and it was a fairly simple job, we agreed [redacted] or I would help her out at 'No Charge'. At no time were we ever hired by [redacted] nor paid by [redacted],I, Rodger C[redacted] of J Conley & Sons was overbooked and could not send any of my employees out to [redacted]s house, therefore since [redacted] had his son available for the next day, he was to help [redacted].I agreed to loan [redacted]'s son, [redacted] one of my trucks since they only had one truck and [redacted] was going to another job. .When [redacted] arrived the next day (December 29,2015), he explained that the Hall bathroom faucet upstairs would have to be turned on (to let air and water out) prior to capping the lines, Ms, Bassill had said since her son was sleeping upstairs, she would turn on the faucet; she turned it on herself. After completion, [redacted] went upstairs to turn the faucet off, only to find that it was already off. [redacted] assumed that her son turned it off (?). [redacted] went upstairs to make sure the lines were capped correctly - they were. He then packed up his tools to leave.Within an hour, [redacted] called my office (she did not have [redacted] Plumbing & Heating nor [redacted]'s phone number) to say that water was coming through the ceiling because the faucet was left on upstairs? [redacted] went right back to take a look and found that the faucet in the master bathroom was on and running (we were not even aware there was a master bathroom in that part of the house as her son was still sleeping and we did not go in there (not sure why the son never heard the water running?),. .[redacted] only entered the hall bathroom not the master bathroom.I had contacted [redacted] to see what had happened & he explained that the drain was running very slow & the aerator was missing (the drain was not draining properly & the absence of an aerator allowed water to come out very fast-that was the condition of the bathroom faucet PRIOR to arrival). He also said that speaking to [redacted] she stated “Do not worry, I am replacing the living room ceiling & rugs anyway,”Feeling bad about what had happened, [redacted]: and I went to the house later that afternoon to help [redacted] cleanup. We asked permission to remove the rugs and she told us the same as she told [redacted]., ,not to worry about the rugs as she was going to have them replaced anyway. [redacted] & I had set up a Mini Air Mover to dry up the area. (Note; [redacted] has refused to return my Mini Air Mover; I would like to have it back). Since I referred her to [redacted] Plumbing & Heating, I attempted to help as I felt bad about what happened.Notes:Out of my own kindness and integrity, I contacted my insurance company (even though I did not do the job and I was not paid anything). Since we did not exchange monies nor sign a contract, my insurance company denied her subrogation claims. When We first went to her house, it was a disaster from sewer back up from a previous contractors 'poor workmanship’ & house was still under construction from her 1st insurance claim with a different contractor. I have no knowledge of previous damage that a different contractor may have caused before [redacted] Plumbing & Heating was there. Since I was not aware of what was going on in the house with other contractors, I feel she is trying to get “someone” to pay for the previous contractors screw ups and [redacted] Plumbing & Heating's mistake and I was the one she set out to blame. If you have any questions or require additional information, please feel free to contact me.Regards,Rodger C.
