Cypress Auto Center, Inc. Reviews (3)

In response to the letter we received from Revdex.com dated July 25, 2016.Mr. [redacted] had his own mechanic diagnose the problems with his truck after purchasing it from us. We followed his mechanic's  advice and found out he was incorrect. That prompted [redacted] to complain we should not take the advice...

of outside mechanics even though he was confident HIS mechanic knew the problem. Mr. [redacted] reported transmission trouble 11,000 miles after he purchased the truck. A transmission is a sealed item and it fails when it wants to. We are in a business selling "hard-to-find" desirable diesel trucks. The lending guide, which is Kelly blue book, is much lower than the market value within this market segment. It is common knowledge in our industry that this situation exists. All pre-owned dealerships have the right to remove equipment from their vehicles before re-selling them. Mr. [redacted]'s comments regarding this issue are senseless. Once we obtain a vehicle for sale it is the choice of the dealership to remove shells, hitches, etc. As far as requesting cash instead of a check: this is another decision the dealership has the right to ask for. When receiving a check , business' still have to wait for it to clear and are subject to a stop payment. Our society has decayed to the  point where not accepting checks is modern day policies. Problems do arise in the used car business. These vehicles are not brand new or perfect. Cypress auto center has been in business 15 years and has hundreds of satisfied customers. As a small family owned business, we rely on word-of-mouth and referral business. Our full-service shop prides itself in the condition these used trucks become before they are offered for sale. Mr. [redacted] states he took his truck to the Dodge dealer but then says nothing of what they said. He simply goes into a rant about our dealership having no regards for safety. What did Dodge say? Never-the-less, [redacted] suggests we don't take any other shop's advice anyway. We made a concerted effort to remedy Mr. [redacted]'s problems and spent a large amount of time and money at no-charge to him after the sale. We can provide a detailed list of our after-the-sale work if needed.  Our service department offered to repair the new problem's at  our internal cost. This is a courtesy we extend to our customer base. Our price was less than half of what the dodge dealer charged. To be noted; Mr. [redacted] has made false accusations of other companies on social media. One of our vendors -AAA dent removal- was not readily available to work on [redacted]'s truck therefore; [redacted] writes a false accusation about having an appointment when there was no appointment. People like this are dangerous for our commerce. Mr. [redacted] appears to be a habitual complainer. There are numerous complaints on his website where he states twice how rotten 2 casinos are simply because he lost money at both places. Seems rather childish! Complaints range from landscaping companies, tax business, jiffy lube etc. etc. He has been hard to get a hold of and rude to most of the employees. Occasionally we receive an exaggerated complaint like this. We realize some customers are NEVER happy regardless what you do to help them. We are grateful that there are only a few who do this.

He need to call for an appointment to oheer that the problem.TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: CYPRESS AUTO CENTER PERFORMED ALL THE WORK WE WERE ASKED TO DO. TRANSMISSION ISSUE DID NOT COME UP UNTIL THE TRUCK WAS DRIVEN 10,000 ADDITIONAL MILES. WE OFFERED TO REPAIR THE TRANSMISSION FOR LESS THAN HALF THE COST OF THE DODGE DEALER. THE BRAKES WERE FINE WHEN THE TRUCK WAS PURCHASED. ONLY LATER-AFTER THE TRUCK WAS DRIVEN EXCESSIVELY WITH A HEAVY LOAD-DID THE REAR BRAKES NEED ATTENTION. MR [redacted] PEST CONTROL  BUSINESS REQUIRES HIM TO HAUL HEAVY EQUIPMENT AND HE DRIVES THE TRUCK MANY TIMES THE AVERAGE MILES. IF YOU LOOK AT MR [redacted]'S PROFILE ON THE INTERNET SITES YOU WILL FIND MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS ABOUT EVERYTHING. HE WENT TO A CASINO AND LOST HIS MONEY THEN GAVE THE CASINO A BAD REVIEW, WHAT'S UP WITH THAT? THIS IS NOT FAIR TO THE CASINO. ALL IN ALL WE FEEL MR [redacted] IS A HABITUAL COMPLAINER. CHRONIC COMPLAINERS MAY NOT HAVE A NEGATIVE OUTLOOK ON LIFE BUT THEY STILL WANT YOU TO KNOW NOTHING IS EVER QUITE GOOD ENOUGH. ONE THEORY IS THAT MR [redacted] REFUSED OUR TRANSMISSION WORK THEN FORMULATED THE PLAN TO HAVE DODGE REPAIR IT WITH THE INTENT TO SUE US AND TRY TO END UP NOT PAYING FOR THE TRANSMISSION AT ALL. WE TRIED TO REPAIR MR [redacted]'S TRUCK INCLUDING LOTS OF FREE WORK. (PARTS AND LABOR) BUT HIS EXPECTATION LEVEL IS SO HIGH HE MAY NEVER BE HAPPY.

I am rejecting this response because: statements made by Cypress are not correct. I Do not pull heavy loads nor did I put 10,000 miles on the truck when the transmission light came on I have proof of that from another shop, I feel cypress should be condemned and put out of business due to the fact they do not know what they are doing. While my truck was in their shop shortly after purchase the rear calipers were freeze up and normal breaks should not be at bear metal completely gone even if there was 10,000 miles put on the brakes which there was not. I think [redacted] and his shop are living in fantasy land and think they can get away with screwing the customer 8 times at a shop is absolutely absurd and obtuse. They know the transmission was bad all along and tried to stall and cover it up. I am out thousands of dollars thanks to them they tried to charge me $3000.00 for something that already should have been taken care of in the first place, there warranty is Garbage just like their shop 10,000 miles warranty they need to stop hiring managers and technicians from Walmart and hire someone who knows what the hell they are doing, furthermore my business outside of theirs is none of their business and will take proper legal steps to recover my money from the lemon that they sold me. 8 times at a shop is absolutely obsurd maybe they were going for a world record on times in a shop. I don't know how [redacted] sleeps at night taking advantage of honest working people.
