This was a "Fresh Start" share account offered to individuals trying to reestablish good checking account habits. There is a $monthly fee associated and automatically charged on this type of share account. The point of this type of account is for members to show that they can make
regular deposits and use the account consistently without lengthy negativity issues. The account was used a few times until the original deposit was gone, then the account was not used. The $fee charged each month eventually caused the account to go negative. Our contact efforts to resolve the negativity in November and December went to a cell number that was "not in service" and the mail we sent was to an address different than the member provided on this Revdex.com complaint. I can't verify if it was a good address at the time
Of course Cyprus is open to resolution on the account
Regarding credit, Cyprus does not report charged off share accounts to credit. There is no impact to credit in this situation. If *** will pay the charged off amount, of $we will show the amount paid in Chexsystems. We are not interested in reopening or offering another account to *** but will gladly update Chexsystems once the charged off amount is paid so that she can qualify for a checking or share account elsewhere

On 2/2/17 we reached out to this individual reached an agreement on fees and payments contingent on the member making payments.  We are continuing to work with this member and are happy to help them with their loan.

We have reached out to this member and discussed the situation and find a solution.  After discussion, both Cyprus and the member consider this complaint addressed and solved.
