They told us it would take one day and $to replace transmission It took weeks and we had to constantly call and check on it to get any informationThey told us they were giving us a break because it took so long and charged us $So weeks and $is a deal??? They put a used transmission in that had more miles than the carIt's been a few weeks and now the check engine light is onTook it to a different mechanic and the transmission is leaking because the transmission is crackedIt was siliconedIt will cost at least $more to fix what they messed up

I brought my Chevy Impala to DAC to have the fuel pump replaced a second time in July It was under warranty from being replaced at a place in Chicago I only had to pay for the labor $After only about weeks the car broke down again and I took it back to DAC and they kept it for a weekDAC told me it was the fuel pump relay and they replaced it but did not charge me After one day of having my car back, it broke down again DAC also told me that I needed to get the key fixed since he was not going to work on car until it was replaced since he had difficult time not start car with itI told him I would call Chevy dealer to work on it since he did not have time to work on it and did not fix it the two times he has had itHe told me if I took to a Chevy dealer that I could never bring the car back to him

He brought his car into me for a fuel pump problem, which had already been changed before in Chicago.  All we did was swap out a fuel pump.  We always bench test them to make sure they’re bad before we put a new one in.  We checked the new one’s voltage.  It looked like something...

had chewed through part of it.  He brought it back about 3 weeks later.  This is an old police car.  All the electrical from it being a police car had been pulled out.  I told him he had electrical problems.  All the relays were brown inside the relay box.  I worked on this car multiple times and didn’t charge anything.  His ignition key has to be jiggled in order to turn it on.  I told him I’d take another look at it but he has to fix that switch.  It takes too long to turn on with that key.  He told me no, and demanded me to fix it, and I told him not.  All we did was hook the pump up that was done in Chicago.  All I charged him for is labor to fix the short.  His car did not run when it came in, and when he left, it ran.  I am not fixing it for free and am not giving his money back because I did what I was supposed to do - replacing his fuel pump that was bad.  He provided the fuel pump himself, so I cannot guarantee it.
